AmbroGreens Review

AmbroGreens Review (Daily Greens from Ambronite)

Ambronite is a Finland-based health and wellbeing brand that was launched due to an impressive amount of crowdfunding! One of the most popular formulas produced by the brand is AmbroGreens, a super greens formula that the brand claims will provide nutritional insurance and daily immunity.

The brand exclusively uses plant-based ingredients in all of its products, including the AmbroGreens formula, meaning the formula is fully vegan, dairy-free, and lactose-free.

I’m really keen to take a closer look at the AmbroGreens formula to see if it actually delivers what it says it will, especially because the brand has had so much success since launching!

If you’re thinking about purchasing this formula or you’re simply keen to take a closer look at it too, take a look at my full AmbroGreens review below.

AmbroGreens First Impressions

The first impression I get from the Ambronite website is, wow this is aesthetically pleasing! You can really tell that from the moment you click onto the site, this brand is trying to sell a lifestyle, not just products.

Everything about the website has clearly been professionally executed, from the carousel reviews and high definition imagery to the wide range of informative content and linked socials.

I think I’m actually most impressed by the fact that the brand not only runs a blog, but also shares a podcast, e-books, and guided meditation!

Looking at the AmbroGreens formula, in particular, I’m still impressed. The only thing I’d have liked to see more of on this page would be information about the ingredients in the formula, and the specific benefits associated with them.

However, specific ingredient information about every ingredient the brand uses across its entire range can be found under the ‘About Us’ tab, under ‘Ingredients’.

Background on Ambronite

Founded in 2013, the company raised enough money through the crowdfunding site Indiegogo to launch fully a year later, in 2014. The company definitely had a huge backing, with over $100,000 raised on the site – an impressive feat that shows people really believed in the brand’s ideas!

Ambronite is based in Finland, but ships to over 30 countries worldwide, and has specific websites dedicated to different areas of the world.

The brand’s main aim is to provide people all over the world with, easy-to-take supplements packed with nutrition.

Although the AmbroGreens formula is one of the brand's bestsellers, they also produce meal shake replacements and plant protein.

AmbroGreens Benefits

Unlike the majority of other brands that provide long lists of health benefits, Ambronite has only chosen to highlight three potential areas of benefit.

The brand claims that the formula will increase digestion and improve gut health, reduce cravings and weight gain, and boost the immune system.

So, unfortunately, not a tonne of health benefits coming from this formula, but still a couple of really important benefits!

AmbroGreens Ingredients

There are 12 ingredients in the AmbroGreens formula, with only 4 of them being super greens ingredients.

Honestly, I like the approach of quality over quantity, but unfortunately, I don’t think that’s the case here.

This formula not only doesn’t contain some of the essentials super greens ingredients such as wheatgrass and alfalfa, but there’s no information about the amounts of each ingredient in the formula.

Here is what the ingredients label shows:

Ambrogreens ingredients label

Instead, the ingredients don’t even exist within proprietary blends, but they’re grouped strangely together and an amount shown. However, this information is only seen on the website, not on the tub itself – even more non-transparent!

Nonetheless, let’s take a look at the ingredients within the formula below.

  • Fruits & Vegetables (Apple, Spinach, Nettle Leaves) – 3.9 g
  • Berries (Cranberry, Bilberry, Black Currant, Sea Buckthorn) – 1.7 g
  • Other Ingredients (Natural Flavors, Stevia Extract) – 0.4 g

I want to also highlight that the serving size is fairly small too at just 7 grams.

How does AmbroGreens Taste?

AmbroGreens has a ‘fresh berry flavor’ from natural flavors, and it’s sweetened with stevia extract. The formula is refreshing and has hints of a berry flavor, but the stevia is what really overpowers the formula.

For those that love the sweet taste of stevia, it’s great! However, some people have complained about the formula being overpowered by the ingredient.

Some customers also state that they can still taste that grassy greens flavor.

Side Effects

Ambronite doesn’t give any side effect warnings or allergen warnings to the customer, and this formula shouldn’t give a consumer any adverse effects.

However, as I always say, if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, have a medical condition or take any medication, you should speak to a doctor before consuming any new supplement.

Does AmbroGreens Work?

Unfortunately, Ambronite has decided not to let the consumer know about any of the amounts of the ingredients within the AmbroGreens formula, which isn’t ideal!

When brands don’t produce fully disclosed ingredients labels, there’s could be a reason for it – insufficient dosing!

Instead of a fully disclosed ingredients label, the brand has grouped ingredients together and given a weighted measurement for them! It seems strange that a brand would do this – surely they would either use proprietary blends or have fully disclosed amounts of each?

Nonetheless, let’s look at the information that we do have to try and work out if the formula will actually work or not.

I regularly use spirulina as a good indicator when it comes to looking at whether a formula will work or not because it has a recommended daily dose.

The recommended daily dose of spirulina is between 1-3g, and within this formula, both spirulina and chlorella are grouped together and weigh 1g. This, therefore, means that there’s an insufficient amount of it within the formula.

The daily recommended dose of chlorella is between 2-5g, so this has also not been added sufficiently.

Unfortunately, it appears that the formula doesn’t contain anywhere near the recommended amount for these ingredients, which is likely true for the others too! Therefore, the formula probably won’t produce the benefits the brand claims it will.

AmbroGreens Reviews

Although AmbroGreens is available to buy on Amazon, there aren’t any customer reviews of the product. So, unfortunately, we’re going to have to take a look at the customer reviews on the Ambronite website.

Thankfully, the reviews actually seem to be fairly unbiased – there are 69 customer reviews overall, and 13% of these reviews are rated less than 5 stars! However, there are no reviews rated less than 3-star.

Let’s take a look at a selection of these reviews below.

I really enjoy this green juice powder. It's tasty and I mix it in water – no added flavors needed. I wish it came in a bigger size as I drink it every day.5-star review

I think the product is great. It has a quite decent and not too sweet taste. However, I ended up almost using double the recommended amount of powder to get a really thick and tasty juice. At the end of the day, I will probably not order it again because I eat a lot of greens all day long anyway. I would recommend this product to people who do not want to or are not able to eat “real“ vegetables and fruits every day.4-star review

The idea is great and the ingredients too, my only problem was that I found the taste of stevia pushes through too much, making the drink too sweet. I would have preferred a “greener” taste so to say. That said I still like the product, it blends well and is easy and fast to use.3-star review

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

Ambronite does offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on the AmbroGreens formula.

Where to buy AmbroGreens?

You can buy AmbroGreens from the Ambronite website, from Amazon, or on a selection of small third party supplement retailers online.

Is It Worth The Price?

The AmbroGreens price depends on whether you’re on the European website or the USA and Canada one.

On the European website, one tub of AmbroGreens contains 210g of the super greens formula, which provides 30 servings. One tub costs €39.99 (approximately $47.10 USD), meaning the cost per serving is €1.33 ($1.57).

However, you can choose between 30 servings – 120 servings, and the more of the product you purchase, the lower the cost!

If you look at the USA and Canada website, the minimum order for the AmbroGreens formula is 120 servings, and the maximum is 210 servings. 120 servings cost $159 (a cost per serving of $1.33).

Regardless of which site you look at, the formula is mid-range when it comes to price, it’s not extremely expensive or cheap, so it will be appealing to a wide range of people when it comes to price.

My Final Verdict

I felt really confident in the Ambronite brand when I first went onto the website, but unfortunately, I feel let down.

Although the formula looks great and it’s obvious that the brand has made a real effort to market it and create a lifestyle around it, the ingredients list (or lack of), means I have to say that I wouldn’t recommend it.

The fact that ingredients have not been sufficiently weighted and the ingredients label isn’t fully disclosed is a huge no from me – look elsewhere would be my advice!
