Amrap Nutrition Super Greens First Impressions
On first look at the Amrap Nutrition Super Greens formula, I’m impressed. The Amrap Nutrition brand, as a whole, comes across professional, sleek and it’s obvious why these products are so attractive to consumers.
Everything is bold, bright and there’s an array of information about each product.
The only thing that is a bit of a miss for me is that although there’s a lot of information about the formula’s benefits, there’s a lack of information about the ingredients within the formula. However, I’ll get into that later on in this review!
Overall though, I’m impressed by the Amrap Nutrition Super Greens formula at an initial glance, and reminded me a little of Transparent Labs Prebiotic Greens.
Background on Amrap Nutrition
Amrap Nutrition was founded in 2012 by CrossFit athlete and businessman, Ron Slavik. Amrap stands for, “as many rounds as possible” and as that suggests, the brand is mainly focused on producing fitness supplements.
The Super Greens formula is a little bit of an odd one out in comparison to the other supplements produced by this brand. Other supplements include BCAA powder, Creatine powder, and Glutamine powder.
As well as producing supplements, the brand has a philanthropic side and gives 10% of every product sold to kid’s health and fitness programs. I really appreciate brands that not only provide supplements to increase people’s health but give back to the world at the same time.
Amrap Nutrition Super Greens Benefits
Amrap Nutrition claims that this Super Greens formula will provide the consumer with an array of impressive health benefits. As well as boosting energy levels, increasing mental clarity, and providing the consumer with essential vitamins and minerals needed for daily optimum health, the brand claims that it also provides 13 other benefits.
The formula provides anti-aging properties, balances hormones, reduces anxiety, enhances memory and focus, pushes toxins from the body, protects cells from radical damage, helps balance pH, boosts the immune system, increases libido, improves gut health, cleanses the blood, and helps the skin heal.
Amrap Nutrition Super Greens Ingredients
The Amrap Nutrition Super Greens formula contains 27 ingredients, most of which are organic, although the formula is not USDA certified organic. Unfortunately, the ingredients exist within proprietary blends.
If you’re a regular reader of my reviews, you’ll know exactly how much I dislike it when brands use proprietary blends in their formulas.
Proprietary blends make it impossible for the consumer to know how much of each ingredient they’re consuming and therefore it’s also nearly impossible for the consumer to know whether the formula will actually work or not.
However, later in this review, I’ll try my best to figure out if the formula will work, but first, let’s take a look at the ingredients list!
- Energizing Greens Blend (7,333mg) – Organic Alfalfa Grass, Organic Wheatgrass, Organic Barley, Organic Lemon Juice Powder, Organic Gotu Kola Powder Extract, Organic Kale, Organic Astragalus, Organic Spirulina, Organic Bitter Melon, Organic Oat Grass, Organic Chlorella.
- Adaptogenic Blend (550mg) – Organic Maca Root Powder, Organic Ashwagandha, Organic Cordyceps Biomass.
- Daily Digestive Blend (1,115mg) – Folosacoride (chicory root), Lactobacillus Plantarum, Lactobacillus Rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium infantis, Bifidobacterium longum, Enterococcus faecium, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus casei subsp. Casei, Lactobacillus salivarius, Pediococcus Acidilactici, Streptococcus thermophiles (as 12 Strain Probiotic blend).
- Other Ingredients – Natural Flavoring, Stevia.
How does Amrap Nutrition Super Greens Taste?
The Amrap Nutrition Super Greens formula doesn’t have any specific flavoring, but it does contain stevia extract to sweeten it.
The taste is incredibly potent, and you can definitely taste the super green ingredients within it. Although it’s strong, the taste can be easily disguised in juice, a smoothie, or a shake.
Side Effects
There aren’t any health warnings on the Amrap Nutrition Super Greens tub, and you shouldn’t experience any side effects when consuming this formula. However, as I always say, if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding or you’re on any type of medication, you should consult a doctor before the consumption of any supplement.
Does Amrap Nutrition Super Greens Work?
As mentioned above, this Super Greens formula is made up of proprietary blends. Due to the fact the brand doesn’t share the amount of each ingredient in the formula with the consumer, it’s impossible to figure out how much of each ingredient exists in the formula.
We can however try to grasp an idea of the amount of each ingredient by looking at the blends.
The Alkalizing Greens blend contains 7,333mg, which is a large amount for a proprietary blend with only 11 ingredients, hopefully meaning that at least some of the ingredients in that blend hit the daily recommended dosage.
However, when looking at the Adaptogenic blend, there’s definitely not enough Maca root to meet the daily recommended dosage. There’s only 550mg of the entire blend, but the daily recommended amount to increase libido and provide health benefits is 1,500 – 3,000mg (Examine). So, it definitely doesn’t meet the requirements to provide full health benefits.
Overall, it’s unclear as to whether the formula will actually provide the consumer with the correct dosage of each of the ingredients and provide the benefits that the brand claims.

Yes, this product made me feel more energized and came through on many of it's advertised promises. However, I just can't get past the taste. It's as though I went outside and picked up the grass shavings off my lawn and threw them in my protein shake. The only thing that made this palatable was mixing it with a strawberry flavored protein powder (not chocolate, cookies, and cream, or vanilla). It’s really unfortunate that I have to say that I am a fan of this formula.
I really appreciate everything about the brand, apart from the proprietary blends that actually make up the formula!
I can’t get around the fact that the brand’s ingredients might not actually provide the consumer with the benefits the brand claims.
I know for a fact that there are super greens formulas on the market for a better price, that taste better and have fully disclosed labels. So, I’m going to have to say, look elsewhere.
