Bodyme Vegan Reds Review: Ingredients, Dosages, Serving Costs

Bodyme Vegan Reds is a plant-based, antioxidant-rich, soil-association-certified formula that contains a selection of potent reds, prebiotics, and mushrooms.

The Bodyme Vegan Reds formula is supposed to reduce oxidative stress, push toxins from the body, improve energy levels, and more.

The formula is vegan, dairy-free, non-GMO, and organic. Although the Bodyme Vegan Reds formula isn’t USDA certified organic (since it’s not sold in the US), it is Soil Association certified organic.

Bodyme has won countless awards for its organic superfood products and since the Vegan Reds formula is one of the most popular, I’m excited and keen to take a closer look at it.

What is Bodyme Vegan Reds?

Although my initial impression of the Bodyme website is that it’s a little outdated, slow, and not exactly eye-catching or aesthetically pleasing, I do like that the company provides substantial informative content both on their product pages and on their blog.

However, looking at the Vegan Reds formula, I’m not so impressed.

Unfortunately, there’s a lack of information with regards to the formula’s ingredients label, which is a real shame, especially since the formula has a number of certifications and has won several awards.

Background on Bodyme

BodyMe is an ethically-conscious and vegan supplement company that was founded in 2011 by Leigh Prideaux. It’s based in Bristol, UK. The company is currently owned by Chris Yandell.

The company was born out of a frustration towards the amount of processed foods on the market and the lack of wholefood, healthy supplements out there.

Alongside the Vegan Reds formula, the company also produces other wholefood supplements and vegan protein formulas.

Bodyme Vegan Reds Benefits

The Bodyme Vegan Reds formula is supposed to reduce oxidative stress, push toxins from the body, improve energy levels, and boost the immune system.

Additionally, Bodyme has provided information about the benefits associated with each ingredient in the formula, which is great. For example, “Organic rosehip – the red fruit of the rose plant, high in calcium and magnesium for healthy bones, muscles and metabolism”.

Bodyme Vegan Reds Ingredients

The Bodyme Vegan Reds formula contains 10 ingredients in total. Although the brand is incredibly transparent about the fact that these ingredients are definitely suitable for a wide range of people, the ingredients label is not disclosed.

There’s absolutely no information about the amount of each ingredient within the formula. Therefore, it’s hard to come to a conclusion over whether the formula will be effective or not.

However, I’ll be looking more at the efficacy of this powder later on, first, let’s take a look at the ingredients label!

Here is the complete list of the Bodyme Vegan Reds ingredients:

  • Organic Berry Blend (Organic Blueberry, Organic Cranberry, Organic Raspberry, Organic Rosehip, Organic Acai), Organic Beetroot, Organic Prebiotic Inulin, Organic Carob, Organic Reishi Mushroom, Organic Chaga Mushroom.

How does Bodyme Vegan Reds Taste?

The Bodyme Vegan Reds formula is not flavored or sweetened and although some customers say that they enjoy the taste of the formula, most customers think the formula tastes overly pungent, bitter, and unpleasant.

Additionally, the formula is difficult to dissolve.

Side Effects

There are no side effects associated with the Bodyme Vegan Reds formula.

However, just as I suggest with every supplement, I would suggest that anyone who is pregnant, nursing, on medication, or with a medical condition, should consult a doctor before consuming Bodyme Vegan Reds.

Does Bodyme Vegan Reds Work?

The Bodyme Vegan Reds formula has a completely undisclosed ingredients label.

The company doesn’t even provide information about the blends within the formula, there’s simply no information about the amounts associated with the ingredients in the formula.

Therefore, it’s absolutely impossible to work out the efficacy of the formula.

However, we can compare the serving size of the formula to the combined recommended dose of the ingredients within the formula to see if it’s even possible for the formula to provide sufficiently dosed ingredients.

Some of the ingredients within this formula have the potential to be sufficiently dosed, but this can't be confirmed since the ingredients label is absolutely nowhere near being disclosed.

The serving size of the formula is 9g. Although only a few ingredients within the formula have standard recommended doses, let’s still take a look at them!

The minimum combined recommended dose of acai (200-1500 mg), organic reishi mushroom (2,000mg), organic chaga mushroom (2,000mg) is 4.2g. Therefore, these ingredients do have the potential to be sufficiently dosed.

However, it’s still unclear if the formula is actually effective due to the fact that the ingredients label provides no clear information about the amounts of the ingredients in the formula.

Bodyme Vegan Reds Reviews

Although there are reviews of the Vegan Reds formula on the Bodyme website, the reviews on that website may be biased. Therefore, since the formula is also available on Amazon, we can take a look on there to see a selection of honest, unbiased reviews of the formula.

Overall, the formula scores a rating of 4.4 stars out of 5 stars, with a total of 102 ratings.

So, let’s take a look at some of these reviews!

Soo good mixed in the juice. I learned not to add too much.. as usually I like to go overboard with everything that's tasty. When followed instructions or taste buds.. its perfect. Really good for those “I need a – pick me up” moments, instant energy and satisfaction.5-star review

As much as I've tried, I don't like the taste. It's very earthy but have found that if I mix with my porridge and flavoured protein powder, it disguises the taste somewhat. Persevering as the ingredients sound so healthy!3-star review

Taste is terrible- I had trouble drinking this, took me 6 months to get through it. Reformulate your product!1-star review

Where to buy Bodyme Vegan Reds?

You can buy Bodyme Vegan Reds from the Bodyme website and from Amazon.

Is It Worth The Price?

One pouch of Bodyme Vegan Reds formula contains 30 servings of formula. You can either purchase the formula on a one-time purchase or on a subscription option.

On a one time purchase, the Vegan Reds formula costs £19.99 ($26.88), meaning the cost per serving works out at £0.67 ($0.90).

On a subscription option, the Vegan Reds formula costs £14.99 ($20.15), meaning the cost per serving works out at £0.50 ($0.67).

Although this formula has a completely undisclosed ingredients label, it is incredibly cheap. Therefore, I think it is worth the price that it’s sold at.

My Final Verdict

Typically, I would never recommend purchasing a formula that doesn’t have a fully disclosed ingredients label, and although I stand by that, I have to say, if you’re on a budget, Bodyme Vegan Reds might be a good choice for you.

The formula is not only cheap, but it’s also organic, plant-based, and has the potential for the ingredients within it to be sufficiently dosed.

However, as always, if you do have a slightly higher budget, I recommend you purchase a super reds formula that has a properly disclosed ingredients label and definitely contains sufficiently dosed ingredients.
