Fermented Green Supremefood review

Divine Health Fermented Green Supremefood: Benefits, Drawbacks, And Comparison

Fermented Green Supremefood is a superfood powder, containing greens, fiber, probiotics, prebiotics, and digestive enzymes, produced by Divine Health, a supplement brand founded by Dr. Don Colbert.

The brand claims that the formula is more potent than any other superfood formula due to the fact that the formula is fermented. The brand claims that since the formula is fermented, it’ll aid the digestive system significantly and make it much easier for the body to absorb nutrients.

The formula is USDA Certified organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, lactose-free, and soy-free. The brand also confirms that the formula is vegetarian, but doesn’t confirm whether it’s vegan.

I’m really eager to take a closer look at this formula to see if the fermented ingredients will actually be as powerful as the brand claims and to see how it rates against a traditional super greens formula.

What is Fermented Green Supremefood?

As soon as you head onto the Divine Health website, you get a feeling that the brand is outdated, in my opinion. There’s a real lack of aesthetically pleasing content and everything from the web design to the logo just looks old to me.

It’s also confusing that the Don Colbert website and the Divine Health website are the same, but don’t seem to be properly integrated with each other.

However, looking at the Fermented Green Supremefood formula, I’m impressed with the amount of information about the product. There’s a lot of in-depth, informative content about why the formula is fermented and about the benefits of the formula. There are even several videos about the formula, again, providing potential customers with informative content.

Although I’m not overly excited about the brand, I appreciate the mass of information about the Fermented Green Supremefood formula, so hopefully, when I come to look at the ingredients, I’m still pleased.

Background on Divine Health

Divine Health is founded and still run by Dr. Don Colbert. Colbert is a medical doctor that specializes in anti-aging and integrative medicine, and he’s also published a wide range of books, with some of them becoming New York Times bestsellers.

Divine Health produces a wide range of supplements, specializing in creating supplements in the ant-aging niche, as well as supplements for digestive issues and weight loss.

The Fermented Green Supremefood formula is one of the brand’s bestsellers, with others up there being the Red Supremefood formula, Omega-3 capsules, and a fiber formula.

Fermented Green Supremefood Benefits

Divine Health claims that the Fermented Green Supremefood formula will support the digestive system, aid with weight management, and boost immunity.

The brand also states that the fiber will support healthy glucose levels, the green tea extract, and digestive enzymes will increase energy levels, and antioxidant-rich foods will protect cells from radical damage.

As well as these claims, the brand also provides a lot of information about how the formula will support the gut, specifically because the ingredients are fermented. The formula is supposed to ease digestion and improve absorption.

Fermented Green Supremefood Ingredients

Fermented Green Supremefood contains over 30 ingredients, including prebiotics, probiotics, enzymes, and herbal extracts. The amount of each ingredient isn’t disclosed, as all of the ingredients exist within proprietary blends.

I’ll be touching more on the use of proprietary blends and the efficacy of the formula later on. But first, it’s important that we actually take a look at the ingredients within the formula.

Here is the complete list of Fermented Green Supremefood ingredients:

  • Organic Greens Blend (2.2g) – Spirulina, Fermented Grass Blend (Barley Grass, Alfalfa Grass, Wheatgrass, Oat Grass), Chlorella
  • Organic Fiber Blend (1.6g) – Gum Acacia, Flax Seed Fiber
  • Organic Fermented Vegetable Blend (1.4g) – Carrot, Beet, Parsley, Spinach, Broccoli, Kale, Cabbage, Onion, Pea Protein, VitaKelp (Ascophyllum Nodosum)

How does Fermented Green Supremefood Taste?

Fermented Green Supremefood is Apple Cinnamon flavored, and the taste of Fermented Green Supremefood is highly contested! A lot of people really love the taste of it, and others can’t stand it.

The formula is sweetened with stevia extract, and a lot of customers seem to think the brand has gone over the top with the stevia in the formula, making it taste sickly, rather than just taking the bitter edge of the taste of the greens.

Side Effects

There is a Proposition 65 warning against the formula, which Divine Health is open about.

The brand states that the product can ‘expose you to chemicals including Arsenic, Cadmium, and Lead, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm”.

Obviously, this isn’t ideal! In fact, it’s concerning. However, as the brand has been transparent about it, it’s up to you whether you want to consume the formula or not.

I would definitely warn people away from this taking this formula if they’re pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, or suffering from a medical condition or illness.

Does Fermented Green Supremefood Work?

The Fermented Green Supremefood formula is made up of proprietary blends, as mentioned briefly above, which is a shame. Proprietary blends are blends made up of multiple ingredients, and the only amount shown is the amount of the blend as a whole. Therefore, there’s no information about the amounts of each ingredient within the blend.

This is obviously a nightmare because it’s impossible to figure out if the ingredients are sufficiently dosed, and therefore whether they will actually provide health benefits or not.

We can take a closer look at the blends though, to see if it’s even possible for the ingredients within them to be properly dosed.

For example, looking at the Greens blend that only weighs 2.2g in total, it’s impossible that all of the ingredients within it will be sufficiently dosed because the daily recommended dose of spirulina and chlorella is 3g.

Although most of the other ingredients within the formula don’t have recommended daily doses, so it’s difficult to tell if they will work or not, it’s clear that not all of the greens ingredients are sufficiently dosed and therefore they might not provide the benefits that the brand claims they will.

Fermented Green Supremefood Reviews

Fermented Green Supremefood is available on Amazon, and there are 206 global ratings of the product on there. Out of these reviews, the formula scores an overall 4.5 stars out of 5 stars, with the taste of the formula is one of the most contested aspects – some love it, some hate it!

Let’s take a look at some of these reviews below.

Best “green” drink I have had as of yet. Actually tastes great and actually gives me energy. Makes me feel good after drinking it, and is REALLY good FOR you! I recommend this product. I've been using it for about a year. Excellent meal or meal replacement, any time of day, and easy way to get enough of your necessary “greens”!5-star reviewer

High quality and effective but the sweetness is too much. Typically you can mask the poor taste of a green powder but it seems to be impossible to mask the sweetness of this powder. If they offer a version without the sweet flavor, I am in. Otherwise, I am going to have to go with a different maker's green powder.3-star reviewer

This stuff tastes like yard clippings mixed with an overload of sweetener. horrible. I only got it because I don't haul my juicer with me on the road so thought this would be a good bridge for the trip. after 2 days I chucked it in the garbage.1-star reviewer

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

Divine Health doesn’t offer a money-back guarantee. If you want to return a product for a refund, you will have to do so within 30 days of purchase, and the product must be unopened.

Where to buy Fermented Green Supremefood?

You can buy Fermented Green Supremefood on the Divine Health website, on Amazon, on Walmart, and other third party supplement websites, such as The Vitamin Shoppe.

Is It Worth The Price?

Fermented Green Supremefood is sold in 30-serving tubs, and one tub costs $39.99. This means that the cost per serving of the formula works out at $1.33.

You can save 5% if you sign up to auto-ship the formula regularly, and unlike other brands that only offer a monthly shipping option, you can choose to receive the formula as frequently as every 14 days, or as occasionally as every 4 months.

If you choose to sign up for auto-shipping, the cost per serving of the formula would work out at $1.26.

There’s one more option to save money! If you buy more than 3 tubs of the formula, you will get a 15% discount, meaning that the cost per serving would work out at $1.13.

The formula is fairly inexpensive, especially in comparison to other greens powders on the market. However, as it contains proprietary blends and the formula might not contain sufficiently dosed ingredients, I wouldn’t say that the formula is worth the price the brand sells it for.

The Bottom Line

Initially, I was really intrigued to take a closer look at a fermented greens formula, and reading the brand’s claims about the formula, I had high hopes.

If there was a fully disclosed ingredients label on the formula and the ingredients were definitely sufficiently dosed, I might have been impressed by this formula and recommend it.

However, as the formula is made using proprietary blends and definitely doesn’t contain sufficiently dosed greens ingredients, I would say that for a similar price point, you should look at buying a greens formula with a fully disclosed label.

In addition, when it comes to consuming a powdered formula, there’s very little information stating that fermented formulas are actually better than standard formulas.

So, my advice would be, look elsewhere if you want a greens powder that packs more of a punch.
