Field of Greens Review: Benefits, Drawbacks, And Costs

Field of Greens by Brickhouse Nutrition is a superfood formula containing an array of powerful fruits, vegetables, herbs, prebiotics, and probiotics. The formula is one of the most popular produced by the brand, with over 2,500 reviews.

Brickhouse Nutrition claims that it will boost the immune system, aid the body with detoxing, increase energy levels, and support a healthy metabolism. The Field of Greens formula is vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and USDA-certified organic, meaning over 95% of the ingredients within the formula are organic.

This product and the brand that produces it certainly look impressive, so I’m looking forward to seeing if the formula lives up to the hype.

What is Field of Greens?

The first impressions of the Field of Greens formula are good!

The branding on both the website and the product isn’t over the top exciting, but everything is smart and well thought through. A nice touch that can be found on the website is that they offer an array of recipes for using the formula.

The brand doesn’t offer a huge range of products, with only five other formulas. However, I don’t think this is a bad thing, as it shows the brand hasn’t tried to expand into areas where they may not have expertise or experience.

Other products available include sleep aid formula, multivitamins tablets, amino acids, and creatine formula, and whilst all of those products are popular, Field of Greens is the most purchased.

Background on Brickhouse Nutrition

Brickhouse Nutrition was founded in 2016 in Ohio but has since moved and is now based in Texas. The team behind the brand contains five men, all bringing different types of experience and knowledge to the party. The CEO is Myles Grimard.

The brand grew exponentially after producing its first product, the Foundation formula – a mixture of creatine and ATP.

Fitness fanatics couldn’t get enough of it when first released, with some claiming it had revolutionized the fitness supplement world.

Field of Greens Ingredients

The serving size of the Field of Greens is 10g, and the formula contains over 25 ingredients. All of these ingredients are certified USDA organic, vegan, and gluten-free. So, it’s all looking good so far, that is until we take a look at the ingredients list in detail.

The ingredients within the formula all reside in proprietary blends. Although we will touch on why proprietary blends are bad news a little later in this review, it’s a real shame that they feature. In addition, not only is the formula made up of proprietary blends, but the amount of each blend isn’t even mentioned.

Let’s take a closer look at the blends and the ingredients.

  • Organic Greens Blend (4 grams) – Organic Spinach Powder, Organic Parsley Powder, Organic Kale Powder, Organic Barley Grass Powder, Organic Wheat Grass Powder, Organic Spirulina Powder, Organic Chlorella Powder, Organic Green Pepper Powder, Organic Green Apple Powder, Organic Green Banana Powder, Organic Sweet Potato Powder, Organic Broccoli Powder.
  • Organic Prebioitic Fiber (2 grams) – Inulin.
  • Organic Antioxidant Reds Blend (1.5 grams) – Organic Beet Root Powder, Organic Strawberry Powder, Organic Raspberry Powder, Organic Blueberry Powder, Organic Tart Cherry Powder, Organic Pomegranate Powder, Organic Cranberry Powder.
  • Organic Metabolic Blend (1 gram) – Organic Ginger Powder, Organic Licorice Powder, Organic Turmeric Powder, Organic Green Tea Powder.
  • Prebiotic Blend (3 Billion CFU/g) – Bacillus Coagulans supplying 3 Billion CFU/g.

How does the Field of Greens Taste?

Field of Greens is available in both Wildberry flavor, and unflavoured. The Wildberry flavor contains stevia extract, citric acid, natural flavorings, and artificial flavorings.

The fact that this product contains artificial flavorings is a huge letdown, especially for a brand that puts so much emphasis on being organic and natural.

However, both of the formulas are refreshing and light, without the pungent ‘grassy’ taste that some super greens formulas have. It’s easy to drink and enjoy the formula simply mixed with water.

Side Effects

The only warning on the Field of Greens formula is with regards to the green tea extract and beetroot within the mix. Due to the fact, that green tea extract contains caffeine, this product is sold in California, where it’s illegal not to have a warning, and warning labels features.

Apart from that, there aren’t any warnings as consuming the formula should have no side effects.

Does Field of Greens Work?

This is one of the only formulas I can’t fully investigate to see whether it will work because the weight of ingredients within the formula isn’t shown, as they use proprietary blends.

I am always somewhat conflicted when I see a brand that I like and see they have not disclosed their ingredients fully.

It's a big deal for me and should be for you too, because it means we really don't know if the formula will contain enough ingredients to work.

I am always somewhat conflicted when I see a brand that I like and see they have not disclosed their ingredients fully.

And the fact is, if the formula contains too low dosages then it simply won't work as suggested by the brand.

It really seems such a shame as the brand has clearly put a lot of effort into ensuring the formula gets USDA-certified organic.

I always try to take supplements with full-disclosure labeling and transparency over their ingredients.

Field of Greens Reviews

Typically I will have a look at third-party sites such as Amazon to share reviews of the product, but this product isn’t listed on Amazon or any third-party site.

Although the formula could be absolutely incredible, it does seem strange that out of the 2508 reviews on the site, there are no 2-star or 1-star reviews. Nevertheless, these reviews are all we have so let’s take a look.

Let’s take a look selection of the reviews:

Even if I actually was able to eat all the fruits and vegetables in a balanced diet, I’d probably still add Field of Greens. But since I can’t quite reach that goal every day, Field of Greens fills that gap. And it’s delicious.5-star review

As this is the first time I’ve tried the Field of greens and have not used the product very much I like what it’s starting with the way my system is reacting to this product. I’m still testing the product but I love the product.4-star review

The product had an artificial sweetener aftertaste. It has Stevia in. I did not give one star because Brick House Nutrition’s customer service was phenomenal and offered me a full refund but I did not like the product.2-star review

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

Brickhouse Nutrition offers a 60-day money-back guarantee on all of its products. The brand even covers the cost of the return shipping, which is a nice touch.

Where to buy Field of Greens?

Field of Greens, at the time of writing this review, can only be purchased on the Brickhouse Nutrition website.

Is It Worth The Price?

A tub of Field of Greens, from the Brickhouse Nutrition website, costs $58.95.

This works out at a cost of $1.97 per serving.

If you order more tubs, you can receive a discount. For example, two tubs total $112.90 (cost per serving of $1.89) and three tubs total $166.85 (cost per serving of $1.85).

You can also choose to subscribe to the formula and receive 15% off. For example, one tub on a subscription works out at $53.06, at a cost per serving of $1.76.

This is a reasonably fair price for a super greens formula. However, it’s not a fair price for a formula in which no one knows the weight of ingredients and whether it will actually work.

Taking a look at shipping, Brickhouse Nutrition doesn’t go into details about where they ship to or how much they charge for shipping, but they do confirm they ‘ship overseas’ and within the USA.

Field of Greens Verdict

Brickhouse Nutrition seems like a good, trustworthy brand with a small selection of perfectly curated products at an initial glance. Everything from the USDA-certified organic status of the products to the recipe ideas of each formula is professional and high-end.

However, then we take a look at what’s actually inside the Field of Greens formula.

Field of Greens is packed with five proprietary blends containing in total over 25 ingredients. Proprietary blends are never good news due to the fact you never know how much of each ingredient is present in the formula.

I have reservations about recommending this product because, quite simply, no one knows if it will work or not! There are much better superfood formulas out there that show you exactly what they contain, so you can have confidence in what you’re consuming.

  1. I love F0G. Every batch tastes different; got for the husband but I like it too, although I actually like whole fruits and veggies. The husband hates all veggies- so I asked him to supplement with this twice a day. I believe we have been on a subscription since 2018 and it’s a good price point; around 53 dollars every two months. I like the product, and if it’s not a budget buster, there is no harm in taking it. I’m not sure about all the gluten and peanut exposure of the product since I really just focus on overall gut health with a wide and varied diet. Myles is wonderful – their customer service is responsive when I need to cancel or augment the subscription with more or fewer shipments.
I highly recommend. Also, I find it tastes better if you mix it, and then let it sit for a few minutes. It’s (almost) yummy!

    1. Thanks for the feedback Liz. You’re right there can be some minor differences from batch to batch with some greens because if your using real veggies there can be subtle changes.

  2. I will not sign up for a recurring orders of Field of Dreams. I dont have the money all the time, being on a fixed income.
It wont let me order anymore till I do.

  3. Re Field of Greens
I too suffer from chronic fatigue and thought to order the Field of Greens.
Thanks to your article, it will be a no for me. My body does not tolerate artificial sweeteners and I have developed an allergy to strawberries.
    Thank you for the information.

  4. This product is not gluten free. Despite the number of times the words “GLUTEN FREE” appear on the website and packaging, this product is not gluten free.

    It’s not peanut free, either.

To learn this, you have to buy a jar of Field of Greens, and then read the very fine print on the label. It’s hard to find, but it’s there.

“ALLERGEN WARNING: THIS PRODUCT WAS PRODUCED ON EQUIPMENT WHICH ALSO PROCESSES DAIRY, SOY, WHEAT, EGGS, PEANUTS, AND TREE NUTS.”

There’s the accurate statement as to the allergen content of Field of Greens. Products that are manufactured on shared equipment will contain varying degrees of those other substances, but they will not be free of them. Despite the proclaimations about organic superfood, if you are celiac or have a peanut allergy, this is the only information you need to know.

I learned the hard way not to trust the Brickhouse Nutrition website. I experienced the worst gluten reaction I’ve had in years after using this product twice, and it was only then that I read the label, instead of relying on the advertising.

If you have food allergies or are celiac, avoid this product. If you don’t believe me, ask the company – or read the label.

  5. I heard about the product thru an online blogger that I follow. I have consumed 1-2 servings per day for ~ 2 months. My diet is severely deficient in fruits and vegetables. I have 3-4 blood tests per year due to a compromised gastrointestinal system. I am awaiting results from an upcoming medical diagnostic procedure to decide on the effectiveness of the product. From a purely subjective perspective, I believe my body feels healthier with more energy, though it is unverified by objective medical tests.

  6. I would like to try it! What is a good period of time when I should feel the results, maybe a week or two I’m wondering

    1. Hey Sandra,
This is a tricky one to answer as it depends on how good your nutrition/health is currently.
As you would expect, a poor diet now and the right supplementation could be faster results.
      Adam

  7. Jimmy Dore is now offering a testimonial for this product on his YouTube show. And a GIANT photo of it. As of March 2023. Any updated info on the product?

  8. I was not n the rehab when I found this item online. I am a cancer patient looking for relief with inflammation but the reviews doesn’t offer any indication that the product douse work for this. I would like to return the item and have my credit card credited. Please email your address to [personal details removed]

    1. Hi Eselyn,
Sorry to hear your battling with cancer, I wish you all the best.
In terms of Field of Greens we are not the manufacturer and so you would need to reach out to them directly via their official website.
      Adam

    1. California requires that label for virtually everything. The company I work for uses pure cotton pads to collect saliva and there is nothing carcinogenic anywhere on the product but we use the label anyway because it’s sold/used in the state of CA. Just easier to have it there than to not.

  9. Hi! Could you tell me of a brand of superfood without dandelion? Yous looks great, but allergic to dandelion. Thanks!
