Green Surge Review: Ingredients, Dosages, Serving Costs

Green Surge, produced by Jacked Factory, is a superfood formula available in both tablets and powdered form. The brand claims that the formula boosts the immune system, reduces oxidative stress, improves the health of the gut, and increases energy levels.

Although Jacked Factory primarily focuses on producing weight loss and muscle-building supplements, hence the brand name, Green Surge is one of the most popular available on the site.

Readers of my site will know that I am obsessed with looking at greens powder supplements and started my journey researching the best brands a few years ago.

Are you thinking to buy Green Surge but not sure if the ingredients or dosages are up to the job? Then take a look at my Green Surge review below.

I tried over 40 brands: check out my best superfood greens powder!)

What is Green Surge?

Looking at both the product itself and the Jacked Factory website, everything looks incredibly vibrant and all-around professional.

All of the bright colors, bold lettering, and inspirational words really pay off, and there’s a sense of excitement around the products.

The Green Surge formula can either be purchased as a powder or in tablet form, which is interesting. Although tablets are used a lot when it comes to weight loss products (such as fat burners), it’s not that common to have super greens formula within a capsule.

I think Jacked Factory might have run with the capsule idea, without actually thinking about the quantity of formula in each caption – it might not work.

Nevertheless, we will take a look at that later on in more detail, and everything else looks impressive so far.

Background on Jacked Factory

Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Santa Monica, Jacked Factory is a brand that produces high-quality health and wellbeing supplements, specifically for those that are looking to build muscle mass or lose weight.

The brand creates an array of supplements, from creatine powders and fat burners to sleep aid tablets and hormone support formulas, as well as selling its own merch. Jacked Factory also sponsors an array of athletes.

Green Surge Ingredients

Let’s take a look at the powdered formula first. Jacked Factory recommends a serving size of 6g. The formula contains 28 ingredients, the majority of which are organic. However, the formula isn’t USDA certified organic, meaning less than 95% of the ingredients are organic.

Within the formula, there are two blends.

The great news though, is that these are not proprietary blends, instead, they are probiotic and inulin blends, and a digestive enzyme blend.

The rest of the ingredients are all listed, as well as the weight of each ingredient. This is a huge positive of the Jacked Factory brand – it’s completely transparent with the ingredients.

You know how much I like ingredients being fully disclosed 😉

Due to the ultimate transparency, we’re able to figure out how much of each ingredient we are receiving, and therefore we can figure out if the formula will work or not. However, we’ll take a closer look at that later on.

First, let’s take a look at the ingredients list for the Green Surge Powder supplement.

  • Probiotic and Inulin Blend (535.26 mg) – Inuline, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium longum, Streptococcus thermophilus, Lactobacillus rhamnosus
  • Digestive Enzyme Blend (150 mg) – Tapioca Maltodextrin, Amylase, Bromelain, Cellulase, Lipase, Papain, Protease
  • Organic Spirulina Powder (500 mg), Organic Spinach Leaf Powder (500 mg), Organic Collards Leaf Powder (500 mg), Organic Wheatgrass Powder (500 mg), Apple Fruit Powder (500 mg), Organic Barley Grass Powder (250 mg), Organic Parsley Leaf Powder (250 mg), Organic Broccoli (250 mg) Head/Plant Powder, Organic Carrot Root Powder (250 mg), Pineapple Fruit Powder (250 mg), Raspberry Fruit Powder (250 mg), Green Tea Leaf Extract (150 mg), Stevia Leaf Extract (135 mg), Grape Seed Extract (100 mg)

When it comes to the capsules of Green Surge, the ingredients are largely the same, but it’s a much shorter list, and there are fewer of the ingredients.

The reason for the capsule version to contain less ingredient weight is because the maximum amount per capsule is 600mg.

First, let’s take a look at the ingredients list for the Green Surge capsule supplement.

  • Organic Spirulina Powder (500 mg), Organic Wheatgrass Powder (500 mg), Organic Spinach Leaf Powder (250 mg), Organic Barley Grass Powder (250 mg), Organic Parsley Leaf Powder (250 mg), Organic Broccoli (250 mg) Head/Plant Powder, Organic Carrot Root Powder (250 mg), Green Tea Leaf Extract (150 mg)
  • Probiotic Blend (250mg) – Inuline, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium longum, Streptococcus thermophilus, Lactobacillus rhamnosus
  • Digestive Enzyme Blend (150 mg) – Tapioca Maltodextrin, Amylase, Bromelain, Cellulase, Lipase, Papain, Protease

In comparing the powder vs capsule formulas, you can see that Spirulina and Wheatgrass ingredients are the same for both. The difference is 50% of the amount of Spinach Leaf powder,

The capsule version has removed Apple Fruit Powder, Pineapple Fruit Powder, Raspberry Fruit Powder, Stevia Leaf Extract, and Grape Seed Extract.

How does Green Surge Taste?

Obviously, the capsules don’t taste anything, but the powdered formula tastes really good.

The mixed berry flavor is apparent but not overpowering and not too sweet. Like most greens, they opt for Stevia Leaf as a natural sweetener to mask the grassy taste of the formula.

The formula also mixes well and doesn’t get gritty.

Side Effects

You shouldn’t experience any kind of side effects when consuming Green Surge.

However, if you’re under 18, pregnant, nursing a baby, or have any underlying medical conditions, Jacked Factory recommends not consuming the product, or consult a doctor before consuming it.

Does Green Surge Work?

It’s really amazing that Green Surge tells the consumer exactly how much of each ingredient is in the formula, as not enough brands seem to do this. Due to this, the consumer can monitor how much of each ingredient they are consuming every day.

The amounts of each ingredient are quite low in comparison to daily recommended dosages, we can take a look at Wheatgrass for example.

The formula contains 500mg of wheatgrass, but according to Healthline you should be consuming 3-5 grams per day. Therefore, it’s quite underdosed if you aren’t going to consume any nutrition through your diet.

However, it’s still great that you are aware of how much you’re consuming so you can either up your dosage of the formula or incorporate more vegetables, fruit, grasses, and herbs into your diet.

When it comes to the Green Surge capsules, a lot of the ingredients have smaller amounts and there are fewer ingredients.

So, this would have less chance of working.

For a few extra dollars, it’s definitely worth purchasing the powdered formula.

Green Surge Reviews

Although the Jacked Factory website has a small selection of reviews of Green Surge, I’ve taken a look at Amazon to see unbias, third-party reviews of the product.

The product rates overall 4.5 stars out of 5 stars, and there are over 1,000 reviews.

Let’s take a look selection of the reviews below:

oh man I can not say enough good things about this stuff! it keeps me full, prevents me from bloating, and definitely keeps the sugar cravings at bay… it says its ketogenic which I can attest to because it’s definitely utilizing more fat away from my body and the scale is proving that! it's affordable, tastes great, and is super convenient to dissolve in water with a blender bottle! highly recommend this stuff!5-star review

If you like the sweetness of an orange juice, this may work for your smoothies. I haven't tried this mix with only water yet but mixed in with my frozen fruit smoothies, it's just too sweet. It also has that fake sweetener taste that I'm not a fan of. Off to try another green mix.3-star review

I was waiting for this product because I read all the reviews but I am complete disappoint it on this product because the container is super small and worst when I opened it just has of the product on the container, I know its not that expensive but is ridiculous the amount that comes on the container.1-star review

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

Jacked Factory offers a 90-day hassle-free money-back guarantee on all of its products, including the Green Surge formula.

Where to buy Green Surge?

You can purchase the Green Surge formula from the Jacked Factory website, or from Amazon.

Is It Worth The Price?

A tub of Green Surge will set you back only $23.99. This works out at a cost per serving of $0.80.

A capsule bottle of Green Surge costs $19.99, and therefore this works out at an average cost per serving of $0.66.

This formula is extremely cheap!

However, if you use more than one recommended serving size to ensure you’re receiving the recommended amount of each ingredient, the formula could run out a lot sooner than expected and therefore be more expensive.

Regardless though, this is an exceptionally cost-friendly formula, and as mentioned above, make sure you choose the powdered formula over the capsules!

When it comes to shipping, the brand only ships to the USA and Canada, and the shipping cost isn’t disclosed on the website.

Green Surge Verdict

Green Surge is an incredible wallet-friendly formula that tastes great, is packed with an array of potent and powerful ingredients, the majority of which are organic, and is actually not made up of proprietary blends!

Jacked Factory is a trusted brand, there’s a solid 90-day money-back guarantee and as long as you monitor how much you are consuming and increase the dosage, the formula could definitely give you the claimed health benefits.

This is an excellent product, and it’s the perfect super greens powder for someone that wants to get into the world of super greens formulas, but possibly doesn’t have the money or the deep knowledge of what they’re looking for just yet.

If this is the case then I would recommend this product. But if you're looking for a stronger all-round greens powder that's more potent then I would suggest looking at Supergreen Tonik or AG1 by Athletic Greens.
