Ketond Super Greens review

Ketond Super Greens Review: Ingredients, Dosages, Serving Costs

Ketond Super Greens is a superfood formula from the popular keto-friendly brand Ketond. It’s packed with powerful fruits, vegetables, herb extracts, enzymes, and mushrooms that the brand claims provide impressive health benefits for the consumer.

Specifically formulated to boost energy levels, increase mental clarity, boost the immune system, and support the digestive system, Ketond Super Greens provides whole food nutrients to those on keto diets, as they often need an extra boost of micronutrients, especially if they aren’t managing their keto diet properly.

I’m really keen to take a closer look at this formula, especially as the keto diets are growing in popularity – it’s good to see what’s out there for those sticking to keto! So, let’s check out my full Ketond Super Greens review below.

Ketond Super Greens

I tried over 40 brands: check out my best super greens!)

What is Ketond Super Greens?

At first glance, the Ketond Super Greens formula looks pretty impressive, especially with the claims all over the tub and the product page that it’s organic. There are sentences and sentences of information about the formula, which, although useful for the consumer, is quite overbearing.

Although I can get past the excess of information, the fact that the brand keeps claiming that the formula is organic, yet it’s not USDA certified organic, is a concern.

If the brand is so keen to talk about the organic whole foods in the formula, why hasn’t it gone to the efforts of having it certified organic?

Apart from this, the formula looks pretty good when you first take a look at it! So, let’s dive a little deeper and see if it really is as beneficial as the brand claims it is.

Other Keto Greens

Many super greens are suitable for keto-based diets, but some brands position themselves as “keto greens” supplements. I have reviewed a few other Keto greens brands on my site, you may wish to check these out too:

Ketond Background

Ketond was founded in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2016. The aim of the brands was to create therapeutically formulated ketone supplements that taste great, aren’t packed with excessive fillers and chemical ingredients, and supply the consumer with the perfect nutrition they need to live a healthy life on a keto diet.

Ketond Super Greens formula isn’t the most popular product that the brand produces, with the Advanced Ketone Blend coming in at the top, which aids with weight loss and enhances exercise performance.

This formula in particular has been tested by the US Department of Defence, which is a pretty impressive feat!

In addition, the brand creates an array of products for people on keto diets, from protein powder and metabolic accelerator formula to MCT powder and collagen mix.

Ketond Super Greens Ingredients

The formula is obviously keto-friendly, vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, sugar-free, and non-GMO. Ketond also claims that the formula is organic, although it’s not actually USDA certified.

Ketond recommends a 7g serving size of the Super Greens formula once daily, and the formula contains over 30 separate ingredients. Unfortunately, these ingredients all exist within proprietary blends.

We will take a look at that in more detail later, but straight away, it’s not looking good for this brand when it comes to transparency.

Let’s take a look at the ingredients list.

  • Organic Greens complex (4690mg) – Organic Alfalfa Juice Powder, Organic Barley Grass Powder Organic Wheatgrass Powder, Organic Spirulina, Organic Chlorella, Oat Grass Juice Powder, Broccoli Powder, Carrot Powder, Kale Powder, Beet Root Powder, Spinach Powder.
  • Fruit Antioxidant complex (1745mg) – Pineapple Juice Powder, Lemon Juice Powder, Acerola Cherry Juice Powder, Raspberry Juice Powder, Apple Powder, Papaya Powder, Pomegranate Juice Powder, Strawberry Juice Powder, Lime Juice Powder, Passion Fruit Juice Powder, Prickly Pear Juice Powder, Blueberry Powder, Katemfe Fruit Extract.
  • Digestion Complex (530mg) – Inulin, Astragin, Ginger Powder.
  • Mushroom Complex (150mg) – Maitake Extract, Reishi Extract, Shitake Extract.
  • Other Ingredients: Stevia Leaf Extract

How does Ketond Super Greens Taste?

The formula isn’t flavored, so you do get the taste you expect from consuming a super greens formula, but it’s not overpowering or bitter.

The formula is naturally sweetened with Stevia, which gives it a refreshing taste and removes any bitter notes it would otherwise probably have.

If you’re not keen on the taste of the formula it is easy to disguise in smoothies and shakes, and you can even bake with it.

Side Effects

You shouldn’t experience any side effects when consuming this formula and there aren’t any adverse effects warning labels. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking any medication or you’re under 18, it’s always best to consult a doctor before consuming any new supplements.

Does Ketond Super Greens Work?

The main problem I have with this formula is the fact that it contains proprietary blends.

Proprietary blends pose a big problem when it comes to brand transparency, which is actually something Ketond prides itself on because the consumer can never work out how much of each ingredient they are consuming and therefore can’t figure out whether the formula will actually provide them with health benefits.

The fact is that when it comes to formulas containing proprietary blends, we have no idea whether they will work.

Supplements proprietary blend

However, we can take a look at the ingredients and the total amount of the blend within the formula to try and get a grasp on whether the formula will work or not.

For example, the Organic Greens Complex (which isn’t even fully organic) amounts to 4.69g.

As ingredients have to be listed in weighted order and Alfalfa is the first. Heathline recommends anywhere between 5-10g of Alfalfa present in this formula can’t be anywhere near that as the entire Organic Greens Complex is only 4.69g.

Looking at the Fruit Antioxidant Complex, it’s unlikely that this will contain substantial amounts of each ingredient as there are only 13 ingredients and the entire blend only comes to 1.745g.

Overall, it’s hard to prove whether the formula will work or not due to the proprietary blends, but it’s most likely that a lot of the ingredients will not produce benefits as the amount included in the formula isn’t sufficient.

If you're wondering how long for this greens powder to work, then considering the ingredient dosages it could be awhile, or not at all!

Ketond Super Greens Reviews

Taking a look at Amazon, the Ketond Super Greens formula has 3.3 stars out of 5 stars and there are only 12 reviews.

This is a pretty low overall rating, and the fact that there aren’t many reviews at all would lead me to believe the formula isn’t actually as popular as the brand makes out it is.

Let’s take a look at a selection of the reviews below.

This is an excellent vegan-friendly greens supplement that mixes easily into water and other liquids. When I opened it, the fragrance reminded me of alfalfa, it smelled very fresh. I put a scoop into approximately 12 ounces of water and mixed briskly with a spoon. It mixed quickly and thoroughly, there was no grit. I tasted it before adding anything else and it was not bad at all, it tasted like what it is – greens! I always add other things to these greens supplements to make them more enjoyable and this time I added a small amount of “Molten Mango” flavored energy drink, it was deliciously mixed together! These greens supplements actually taste very good if you mix them with other, flavored drinks; there is no taste of anything artificial. This is an excellent product!5-star review

It looks like and tastes like my super greens, and it did have an inner seal, so I am drinking it. I am pretty sure it was manufactured and the buyers of lots were supposed to place their own labels on it.3-star review

I just was not happy with this at all. I cannot recommend it without a label. My container had no label. I am not going to ingest an unknown substance. I returned the first unlabeled can I received only to have it replaced with another can that had no label.1-star review

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

Ketond does not offer a money-back guarantee, but they will accept returns within 30 days if the product is unopened, in the original packaging, and is sent with insured and trackable postage.

To find this information you have to dig deep into the Ketond terms and conditions that are quite hidden on the website, once again making the brand not appear very transparent at all.

Where to buy Ketond Super Greens?

You can purchase Ketond Super Greens from the Ketond website, or on Amazon.

Is It Worth The Price?

Ketond doesn’t offer a subscription option or discount if multiple tubs of the product are ordered as other supplement brands do.

One tub of formula costs $29.95, and with 20 servings per tub, this works out at an average cost per serving of $1.50.

Ketond does ship products internationally, as well as within the USA, but there’s no flat fee and it depends on where you are in the world and what you order.

Ketond Super Greens Verdict

It seems such a shame that I have to say I wouldn’t recommend the Ketond Super Greens formula, as the brand looks like it’s tried hard to create a selection of great products.

The lack of ingredient transparency in terms of everything from the proprietary blends in the formula to organic labeling makes me feel uneasy.

You can definitely find keto-friendly formulas out there, from much more transparent brands that don’t use proprietary blends, have proper certifications to back up their claims, and offer formulas that are proven to work.

So, Ketond is not for me, but if you don't mind the negatives then this is definitely better than not taking a greens supplement.
