Mindbodygreen Organic Veggies review

Mindbodygreen Organic Veggies+ Review

Mindbodygreen is a well-known, impressive brand that, as the name suggests, produces supplements for both the mind and the body. The organic veggies+ formula is the brand’s super greens formula, packed with over 30 powerful ingredients.

Mindbodygreen claims that the formula enhances immune function, promotes hormone balance, supports cognitive function, encourages nutrient absorption, promotes blood sugar balance, nourishes good bacteria, and contains antioxidants.

As with every supplement the brand produces, organic veggies+ is USDA certified organic. It’s also non-GMO, gluten-free, soy-free, and dairy-free. This product is also suitable for vegetarians and vegans, as the brand uses a vegan digestive blend.

I'm really eager to take a closer look at this formula, as it promises so much to the consumer. Take a look at my full mindbodygreen organic veggies+ review below.

mindbodygreen Organic Veggies+ First Impression

At first glance, everything about the organic veggies+ product, and every other product by the mindbodygreens brand looks extremely impressive. Everything from the supplement tub itself and the branding on there to the website information and overall aesthetic of the brand is impeccable.

Mindbodygreens also produces several other supplements, with products such as grass-fed collagen for beauty purposes, probiotics for gut health, and magnesium for help with restorative sleep.

Although there’s an array of supplements, it’s nice that the brand hasn’t gone overboard with the number of products it produces, signaling that the brand knows what it’s good at and sticks to it, unlike a lot of brands in the supplement market that try to produce way too many products.

Overall, at first glance, this product and the brand looks spot on.

Background on Mindbodygreen

Mindbodygreen was founded in 2009 by Jason Wachob and co-founded by Colleen Wachob, who had a goal to produce supplements to improve people’s quality of life in the most natural way possible.

At age 43, Wachob found himself suffering from high homocysteine levels, which is linked to blood clots and cardiovascular catastrophes. He believes that supplements are what helped him lower these levels, and hence he wanted to create them for others.

The mindbodygreen brand uses Thorne to produce its supplements, which is one of the leading, top-tier supplement companies in the USA.

Organic Veggies+ Ingredients

Mindbodygreens recommends a serving size of 9.2g, and the formula contains 32 separate ingredients. All of the ingredients are USDA certified organic and Whole30 approved.

Being certified organic means that over 95% of the ingredients within the formula are organic, and being Whole30 approved means that the formula has no added sugars, no dairy, no legumes, no grains, and no alcohol.

The organic veggies+ formula certainly contains potent ingredients that will provide benefits for the consumer if they are provided in the right amounts. However, organic veggies+ is made up of proprietary blends.

Mindbodygreens Organic Veggies label

The ingredients within the formula are split into the different proprietary blends – Organic Vegetable Antioxidant Blend, Organic Fruit Antioxidant Blend, Organic Fiber Blend, and the Digestive Blend. The digestive blend contains an enzyme blend.

In addition to these blends, the formula contains the powerful probiotics Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus acidophilus.

Proprietary blends are a huge problem when it comes down to whether the formula will actually work or not, and although we’ll touch more on that later, it’s a real shame when everything else about the brand seems so spot on.

Let’s take a look at the ingredients within the formula.

  • Organic Vegetable Antioxidant Blend: Carrot. Broccoli. Green Cabbage, Spinach, Chlorella BCW, Green Tea Leaf Extract, Kelp, Spirulina, Beet Root. Alfalfa Grass, Kale
  • Organic Fruit Antioxidant Blend: Strawberry, Raspberry, Blueberry, Acerola Cherry Extract, Black Currant, Acai, Cranberry
  • Organic Fiber Blend: Inulin, Flax Seed Fiber
  • Digestive Blend: Organic Ginger Root, Organic Turmeric Root. Organic Cinnamon Bark Extract. Enzyme Blend( Protease, Amylase, Glucoamylase, invertase, Diastase, Lipase)
  • Bifidobacterium (from Bifidobacterium bifidum and Bifidobacterium lactis)
  • Lactobacillus acidophilus

How does Organic Veggies+ Taste?

Organic veggies+ isn’t flavored as the brand is so keen to keep everything organic, natural, and without any fillers, sugars, or flavorings. Due to this, the formula does taste like a typical super greens formula, but it isn’t overpowering.

It’s not the best-tasting formula out there, but it’s not offensive either.

Mindbodygreens actually promotes using the formula in meals, as well as just mixing it with water, and therefore if you’re not too keen on the taste, you can hide it within an array of dishes.

Side Effects

There aren’t any side effect warnings on this product, but the brand does advise women that are pregnant or breastfeeding to consult with their doctor before consuming.

Does Organic Veggies+ Work?

This formula has a strong list of ingredients, with sea vegetables, antioxidant-rich greens, and fruits, vegan enzymes, and probiotics. If all of these ingredients were supplied in the correct quantity, they would provide the consumer with benefits.

However, mindbodygreens have chosen to use proprietary blends to make this formula, and therefore there’s no certainty over whether the product will actually work or not.

have chosen to use proprietary blends to make this formula, and therefore there’s no certainty over whether the product will actually work or not.

Although the ingredients such as chlorella and spinach may be correctly dosed because they’re the first listed and ingredients have to be listed in order of quantity, ingredients like inulin will most likely be underdosed.

For example, although the recommended daily dose of inulin varies, it sits between 10-30g according to Medical News Today, and seeing as the entire blend is only 9g per serving and inulin is way down the ingredient list, it’s probably underdosed.

Of course, the formula may work, but as a consumer, we’ll never know because the brand hasn’t been transparent about the amount of each ingredient included.

Organic Veggies+ Reviews

This product isn’t available on Amazon or any other third-party sites, and therefore taking a look at third party reviews like I normally do is made impossible.

Even if you search for reviews of the product online, the brand has created an array of pages on their site for reviews and subsequently, other reviews are lost.

So, as there’s not much choice, let’s take a look at the reviews on the mindbodygreens website. Bear in mind, none of the reviews have less than 4 stars out of 5.

Organic Veggies+ is a great way to know you’re getting a dose of veggies and super nutrients no matter what’s on your daily agenda! It mixes well with beverages, smoothies, and soups so it’s very versatile! Peace of mind knowing that you’re taking care of your health and nutrient intake each and every hectic day!5-star review

Finally a green drink with no Stevia. I drink with some water and a little ice and feel great. It’s hard to get your greens every day. This product is perfect. Thanks!5-star review

I would give this 5 stars if I could get my daughter to eat it. But it’s green and turns the things I make her green and she refuses. However, I tried it after putting it in a dish I made for her and it’s really really good!4-star review

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

Mindbodygreens doesn’t offer any money-back guarantee, and the returns policy is very strict.

You have to get granted return authorization from the brand before even returning the product, and there are strict rules you must pass to get a return.

This makes the brand look unfriendly to customers and far from transparent.

Where to buy Organic Veggies+?

You can purchase organic veggies+ from the mindbodygreens website directly.

Is It Worth The Price?

One tub of organic veggies+, containing 18 servings, costs $60.

This works out at a cost per serving of $3.33. If you subscribe to receiving a tub frequently (2 weeks, 4 weeks, or 6 weeks) you can save nearly 20%.

If you subscribe, this works out at a cost per serving of $49, which is a cost per serving of $2.72.

This is an expensive product, especially when it contains proprietary blends. It also seems a little odd that the brand has chosen to create tubs with 18 servings.

However, you do get free shipping with this product, making the price a little lower. Mindbodygreen ships all over the US (including Hawaii) and Canada.

My Verdict

At first glance, everything about this product seems appealing, from the fact it contains impressive ingredients that are all organic to the immaculate branding and packing.

But, there are several shortcomings, and for me, the main issue is the lack of transparency with the included ingredients.

Due to the fact the formula contains proprietary blends, it’s unclear how much of each ingredient the consumer will be receiving and therefore it might not provide the benefits that the brand claims it will.

For this reason, and the fact there’s no money-back guarantee, no third party reviews, and the product is expensive, I can’t recommend it.

If the brand just altered the ingredients list to show more transparency and ditched proprietary blends, I would have probably been impressed.

I know that there are much better super greens formulas out there that tick all the boxes.

  1. Thanks SO much for this review! It’s hard to find HONEST reviews of products like this these days. And there are SO MANY products out there claiming the impossible. Even on amazon, I feel like people are paid to give bogus reviews sometimes. Glad I found you.

After health issues with Hashimotos thyroiditis, Thyroid eye disease and many many useless doctors, I’ve become my own advocate and now work with a functional doc. I’m feeling much better and I want to become a health coach and yoga teacher. This too is an area of confusion as there are many online courses to choose from. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks and PLEASE keep up the GOOD WORK!
