ONEST SuperGreens review

Onest Supergreens Review

The Onest Supergreens formula is one of the most popular supplements that the brand produces, and with over 40 potent ingredients, it’s not hard to see why.

Onest claims that the formula will provide the consumer with an array of impressive health benefits, with the main benefit being that it helps with pushing toxins from the body, whilst at the same time alkalizing the body.

The Supergreens formula is USDA certified organic, meaning that 95% of the ingredients within the formula are organic. It’s also vegan, dairy-free, free from artificial flavorings, sugar-free, and non-GMO.

I'm really keen to take a closer look at this formula, especially because alkalinity has become such a huge talking point in the health and wellbeing community in recent years. If you’re as intrigued as I am, take a look at my full Onest Supergreens review below.

Onest Supergreens First Impressions

Immediately when I look at the Onest Supergreens formula I can tell that this is created by a gym supplement brand, which isn’t a problem and in fact, the branding really does capture my attention. It certainly looks like this product is going to benefit you at first glance – it looks powerful.

Then, on closer inspection when you realize the formula is made from 100% natural ingredients, is USDA certified organic and vegan, it’s even more impressive. It’s also really great to see that although this brand specializes in gym supplements, this formula isn’t marketed as a fat-burning or muscle gaining product.

Overall, I’m super impressed with my first impression of this formula and the brand as a whole, so I’m hoping the facts back up the claims!

Background on Onest Health

Founded in 2018, Onest Health is a gym supplement brand based in New South Wales in Australia. The team behind the brand were sick of seeing half-heartedly formulated supplements on the market packed with fillers and sub-par ingredients, so they created their own therapeutic supplement company.

The brand focuses on creating ethically produced supplements with all-natural ingredients. As well as the Supergreens formula, there’s an array of Onest products, from protein powder and fat burning capsules to sleep aid tablets and pre-workout powder.

Onest Supergreens Benefits

Onest claims that the Supergreens powder has four main health benefits, and 30 other health benefits that the brand categorizes by the blends in the formula.

The four main health benefits of the Supergreens powder are supported digestion, essential phytonutrient consumption, boosted alkalinity, and whole-body detoxification. Although there are too many other health benefits to list all of them, other benefits include a boosted immune system, increased heart health, boosted metabolism, and increased nutrient absorption.

The brand is clearly confident that this formula delivers results, so let’s take a look and see if the ingredients list actually backs up the supposed health benefits.

Onest Supergreens Ingredients

The Onest Supergreens formula contains over 40 ingredients, 95% or more of which are USDA certified, and all of which are vegan – all looking great so far!

However, it all goes downhill as soon as I take a look at the ingredients list and see that all of the ingredients exist within proprietary blends.

Proprietary blends are the reason that I often can’t recommend brand formulas, and in this case, I’m hoping that the brand really knows what it’s doing and that the blends actually contain the correct amount of each ingredient.

Let’s take a look at the ingredients list and see exactly what we’re working with. Onest recommends a serving size of 11.5g, so these are the amounts and ingredients per serving.

  • Onest Grass and Greens Blend (6g) – Organic Wheat Grass, Organic Barley Grass, Organic Parsley, Organic Blue-green Algae (Spirulina), Organic Spinach, Organic Chlorella, Organic Alfalfa Grass.
  • Onest Fruit and Vegetable Blend (3g) – Organic Carrot, Organic Beetroot, Organic Tomato, Organic Raspberry, Organic Cranberry Juice, Organic Strawberry, Organic Blueberry Fruit, Organic Pomegranate Juice, Organic Acai Juice (Euterpe Oleracea), Organic Blackberry, Organic Blackcurrant, Organic Cherry, Organic Acerola, Organic Bilberry Fruit, Organic Banana, Organic Apple, Organic Pineapple, Organic Orange Peel, Organic Mango, Organic Papaya, Organic Peach, Organic Pear, Organic Lemon Peel.
  • Onest Cruciferous Vegetable Blend (500mg) – Organic Kale, Organic Broccoli, Organic Cabbage, Organic Celery.
  • Onest Sprouts and Sea Vegetable Blend (500mg) – Organic Adzuki Sprouts, Organic Amaranth Sprouts, Organic Quinoa Seed, Organic Dulse Leaf, Organic Laminaria Kelp.
  • Onest Enzyme Blend (100mg) – Acid Protease (Aspergilius niger), Amyloglucosidase (Aspergilius niger), Cellulase (Trichoderma Reesei), Fungal Amylase (Aspergillus Oryzae), Fungal Protease (Aspergillus Oryzae), Lipase (Rhizopus Oryzae).
  • Other Ingredients – Organic Natural Flavours, Citric Acid, Organic Guar Gum, and Organic Rebaudioside A.

How does Onest Supergreens Taste?

Onest Supergreens is available in a selection of three flavors – Chocolate, Apple, Mango. Although there are no customer reviews about the product online, so, therefore, there’s no feedback about the taste of the Supergreens formula.

There are reviews about the taste of other Onest supplements, and all of them are positive! Therefore, the Supergreens formula most likely tastes refreshing and like the flavor it is supposed to!

Side Effects

You shouldn’t experience any side effects when you consume this formula, and the tub doesn’t have any warning labels on it. As always though, if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, on medication, or under 18, make sure you consult a doctor before consuming any new supplements.

Does Onest Supergreens Work?

As mentioned above, the Onest Supergreens formula is made up of proprietary blends. This makes it very difficult for me, or any consumer, to figure out whether the formula works or not, because the amount of each ingredient isn’t listed.

Proprietary blends also make a brand appear less transparent because the consumer has to put all their trust into the team creating the formula as they’re not supplied with the facts.

However, it does seem like the correct amount of a selection of the ingredients will actually be present in this formula. For example, taking a look at the first blend, the Onest Grass and Greens Blend, it’s 6g.

When other brands use proprietary blends they usually add anywhere between 500mg – 2,000mg of any blend, and therefore this is a substantially sized blend.

There are only 7 ingredients within the Onest Grass and Greens Blend and therefore at least a couple of the ingredients will be correctly weighted in comparison to the daily recommended dosage.

…some of the ingredients within the formula will provide the consumer benefits because the correct amount lies within the formula, but others most likely won’t.

Using Spirulina as an example, because it’s one of the super greens with a well-known daily recommended dosage, there’s most likely an adequate amount of Spirulina within this formula.

The daily recommended amount of Spirulina is between 1,500mg – 3,000mg (Healthline), and Spirulina is listed as the fourth ingredient in this blend (listed by weight) meaning there’s most likely at least 1,500mg of it in the formula.

However, obviously this is just an estimate and I can’t be certain that that’s the case.

Overall, I can assume that some of the ingredients within the formula will provide the consumer benefits because the correct amount lies within the formula, but others most likely won’t.

Onest Supergreens Reviews

There are no reviews on the Onest Supergreens formula anywhere online, so unfortunately I’m unable to share any third-party reviews of the product. Onest Supergreens is only available to purchase on the Onest Health website and even on the website aren’t any reviews!

It seems a little strange that there aren’t any reviews of the product anywhere online when it’s apparently such a popular product. It would be nice to see some reviews on the Onest website as it would increase transparency.

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

Onest has a 30-day money-back guarantee on all of its products.

Where to buy Onest Supergreens?

You can only buy Onest Supergreens from the Onest health website. At the time of writing this review, no Onest products are available anywhere else online.

Is It Worth The Price?

One tub of Onest Supergreens costs $59.95. Each tub contains 30 servings, and therefore the cost per serving works out at $1.99. The brand offers a discount if you subscribe or purchase more than one tub.

Onest ships internationally but the price of shipping depends on location. To ship within Australia there is a flat fee of $12 and shipping fees to the USA depend on the location. For both Australia and the USA, if you order over $150, shipping is free.

In comparison to other formulas on the market, this one is pretty expensive, especially because it’s made from proprietary blends.

My Final Verdict

Let’s start with the positives! Onset Health seems like a really great brand and the fact that the Supergreens formula is USDA certified organic, contains an array of potent ingredients, and has a money-back guarantee is impressive.

There are a few things holding me back from being able to recommend this formula.

The fact the formula is made from proprietary blends is obviously the biggest problem, but there’s also no reviews of the product, it’s expensive and although the brand is clearly successful, it doesn’t seem transparent.

Overall, unfortunately, I’m going to have to say that this super greens formula is not for me. There are better super greens formulas on the market that are cheaper, aren’t made from proprietary blends, and have a multitude of customer reviews.
