Organifi Green Juice vs Patriot Power Greens

Organifi Green Juice vs Patriot Power Greens

Organifi Green Juice and Patriot Power Greens are both formulas that benefit from specific types of customers. Organifi Green Juice benefits from Drew Canole’s (CEO of Organifi) Youtube fans, and Patriot Power benefits from being one of the few super greens formulas specifically for senior citizens.

I’m looking forward to taking a closer look at what both of these formulas offer and seeing which one actually stands up to the respective brand’s claims about it.

If you’re interested in taking a closer look at either of these formulas or want to compare them, then you’re in the right place.

Get ready to look at my detailed, comprehensive comparison of Organifi Green Juice Vs Patriot Power Greens.

Organifi Green Juice vs Patriot Power Greens

What Is Organifi Green Juice?

Organifi Green Juice is the best seller of the Organifi brand. The formula is a super greens mix, packed with potent ingredients that the brand claims will provide an array of impressive health benefits for the consumer.

Organifi was founded by fitness and well-being Youtuber, Drew Canole. After creating a strong community on Youtube, Cannoli founded the brand, which obviously became successful due to traction from fans.

There’s a lot of hype around the Organifi Green Juice formula, so I’m keen to take a closer look at it and actually see whether the brand can back up its claims and popularity!

But first, before we get deep into the details, let’s look at the formula's pros and cons overall.

What Is Patriot Power Greens?

Patriot Power Greens, produced by Patriot Health Alliance, is a super greens formula for senior citizens in the USA. It’s by far the most popular product by Patriot Health Alliance and continues to push the brand forward.

It’s interesting to see a super greens formula specifically marketed toward senior citizens and I’m intrigued to look closer at the benefits the brand claims it will produce.

However, before we take a closer look and start comparing the formulas in specific categories, let’s take a look at the pros and cons of the formula as a whole.

Patriot Power Greens Single and Double sizes

Pros

  • Potent ingredients
  • Taste is palatable

Cons

  • Contains proprietary blends (not a fully disclosed ingredients label)
  • Unrealistic health claims

Organifi Green Juice Vs. Patriot Power Greens Benefits

Organifi Green Juice

There’s an array of information about the Organifi Green Juice formula’s benefits, and it’s clear that the brand has made a lot of effort to be informative.

On the Organifi Green Juice product page, there’s an area dedicated to showing the health benefits of each specific ingredient within the formula. For example, “Ashwagandha – An adaptogenic herb that helps modulate responses to stress or a changing environment. This improves immunity by encouraging proper T-cell function.”

As well as sharing the specific health benefits of each ingredient, the brand shares a few overall benefits of the formula as a whole. Organifi Green Juice is supposed to help detox the body, boost the immune system, and help to burn fat and therefore aid weight loss.

Although I like that the brand has chosen to share every ingredient’s health benefits, it’s unclear whether these benefits will occur due to proprietary blends, but more on that next!

Patriot Power Greens

Patriot Power Greens is marketed towards older people, and therefore the health benefits that the brand talks about are aimed towards what older people are looking for!

Overall, the formula is supposed to support all day long energy, healthy digestion, decrease inflammation, promote healthy aging, and help detox the body.

The brand even says that the formula will provide the consumer with the recommended amount of daily fruit and vegetable servings – this is a big claim, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen another brand make this promise.

A lot of the time brands will say something like “this provides 2 servings of fruit and vegetables”, but never that it will provide the entire amount of fruit and vegetable recommended servings every day.

I think the brand has made some pretty huge claims here about its formula, so it’ll be interesting to look at the ingredients more closely below to see if all of these claims can actually be supported.

Organifi Green Juice Vs Patriot Power Greens Ingredients

Organifi Green Juice

Organifi has tried to go quality over quality, with only ten ingredients within the formula. However, over 95% of these ingredients are organic, meaning the formula is USDA-certified. The formula is also vegan, dairy-free, soy-free, and gluten-free.

The 10 ingredients are all traditional super greens ingredients such as moringa, chlorella, and wheatgrass, so they are all potent and provide specific health benefits.

However, they might not actually provide specific health benefits if they’re not included in sufficient amounts, and they might not be – all of these ingredients exist within a proprietary blend!

As you will probably already know if you have read my reviews and articles before, I hate proprietary blends. Proprietary blends put all of the power into the hands of the brand and keep the consumer in the dark, which is definitely not what should be happening.

When a formula contains proprietary blends or is made up of one proprietary blend, it makes it impossible for the consumer to know how much of each ingredient resides in the formula, and therefore they don’t know how much of the ingredients they are consuming.

In addition to this, it’s also impossible to know if the benefits the brand claims will occur, will actually occur. I don’t know about you, but I will never take a supplement if I don’t know whether it will work.

Organifi Green Juice ingredients label

Patriot Power Greens

Patriot Power Greens contains 40 fruit and vegetable ingredients, 10 probiotic strains, and 6 digestive enzymes in each serving. The formula is gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, wheat-free, non-GMO, and vegan.

Even though the formula as a whole isn’t certified organic, the majority of the ingredients within the formula are organic, which is a nice touch!

Unfortunately, most of the ingredients within the Patriot Power Greens formula exist within proprietary blends, although the brand has chosen to show the weight of certain ingredients – this seems super sly to me and almost as if the brand is hiding something.

Patriot Power Greens Label

Although, as consumers, we are aware of the amounts of some of the ingredients and we can figure out if these specific ingredients are going to provide us health benefits, the same cannot be said for the ingredients within the proprietary blends.

Proprietary blends are seriously my biggest nightmare when it comes to super greens formulas, and every time I review a formula, I really hope I’m not going to find any!

However, unfortunately, in this formula, they are present, just like they are in the Organifi Green Juice formula.

Proprietary blends make it impossible for anyone but the brand to know how much of any ingredient is within the formula, and therefore not only does the consumer not know how much of each ingredient they’re consuming, but it’s impossible to work out if the formula will actually provide the consumer with the health benefits it so boldly claims.

The only benefit to this ingredients label compared to the Organifi Green Juice one is that at least the amounts of certain ingredients are shown. We can look at these to see if the formula’s ingredients are hitting daily recommended dosages!

For example, the Beet Juice Powder in this formula equals 333mg, when the daily recommended dosage lies between 3,500 – 7,000mg.

Also taking a look at chicory inulin, the recommended daily dosage to relieve constipation and support the digestive system is 12mg, and the amount in this formula is 2,333mg.

Overall, it really seems like a 5.25g serving will not provide sufficient amounts of each ingredient.

Organifi Green Juice Vs Patriot Power Greens Taste

Organifi Green Juice

Although Organifi Green Juice isn’t actually a particular flavor, it is flavored using an array of natural ingredients.

The formula is flavored and sweetened with organic lemon powder, organic orange flavor, organic spearmint flavor, organic mint flavor, and organic Luo Han Guo ( monk fruit extract).

These ingredients certainly help disguise the grassy taste of the formula, but it does confuse me slightly why both citrus and mint have been used. I think it would have been more pleasant if the brand had decided to go with one flavor, and added higher quantities of flavoring ingredients.

The formula mixes well and doesn’t have any gritty texture that super greens formulas sometimes do.

Patriot Power Greens

Patriot Power is berry flavored using citric acid and natural berry flavor and sweetened using stevia leaf extract.

The flavor is fairly palatable and definitely sweet due to the stevia extract, but it doesn’t fully disguise the natural and grassy taste of the super greens ingredients.

However, the formula does mix well with water and isn’t gritty like other super greens formulas sometimes are.

Organifi Green Juice Vs Patriot Power Greens Cost

Organifi Green Juice

The Organifi Green Juice formula comes in tubs of 279g, equating to 30 servings. A tub costs $69.95, which means that the cost per serving works out at $2.33.

Organifi offers a 26% discount if you sign up for a subscription, which works out at $59.46 per tub, meaning the cost per serving works out at $1.98.

Even though the 26% subscription discount option makes the formula a lot cheaper, both price options are still expensive considering this formula is made up of proprietary blends.

There are super greens formulas on the market have fully disclosed labels, for around the same price point. Some fully disclosed label super greens formulas are even cheaper than this formula.

Patriot Power Greens

One tub of Patriot Power Greens contains 162g and as the brand only suggests a recommended serving size of 5.25g, this provides 30 servings. One tub costs $49.95, which works out at a cost per serving of $1.67.

The brand doesn’t offer a subscription option as Organifi does, but if you order three tubs, you get two for free.

Obviously, this formula is much cheaper than the Organifi Green Juice, but again it’s still quite expensive for a formula that’s made from proprietary blends.

Organifi Green Juice Vs Patriot Power Greens: Which is Better?

I have to say that I don’t like either of these formulas. I think that the Organifi Green Juice runs off Drew Canole’s success online and probably isn’t the most effective, and I think that Patriot Health Alliance makes big claims that can’t be proven about the Patriot Power Greens formula.

Both of the formulas contain proprietary blends and therefore I certainly wouldn’t be purchasing either of them when I know for a fact there are super greens formulas with fully disclosed ingredient labels on the market at the same price point.

However, I do have to choose which one I prefer and so that’s what I will do.

I would have to say that I prefer the Organifi Green Juice formula, simply because the brand seems a little more cutting edge, and therefore hopefully, the amounts of ingredients within the formula will be more likely to be sufficient than in the Patriot Power Greens formula.
