Patriot Power Greens vs SuperGreen TONIK

Patriot Power Greens vs supergreentonik

Patriot Power Greens is a popular super greens formula produced by the Patriot Health Alliance company that I have previously reviewed and even compared with other super greens powders on the market.

There have been calls recently to start doing comparisons of super greens formulas with my own brand, SuperGreen TONIK. So, in this comparison article, I’m going to be looking at Patriot Power Greens vs SuperGreen TONIK.

Although both Patriot Power Greens and SuperGreen TONIK may share some of the same ingredients, they’re both uniquely formulated, have different health benefits, are marketed towards different demographics, taste different, and of course, are sold at different prices.

If you’re thinking about purchasing either of these formulas, you’re stuck between which one you should purchase, or you’re interested in seeing which formula comes out on top, you’re in the right place – check out my full Patriot Power Greens vs SuperGreen TONIK comparison review below.

I tried over 40 brands: check out my best greens powder brands!)

What is Patriot Power Greens?

Patriot Power Greens

Patriot Power Greens is produced by Patriot Health Alliance, a USA based company that produces supplements for all, but specifically creates supplements to boost the overall health and vitality of older people.

Patriot Power Greens is the most popular product sold by Patriot Health Alliance, with the brand claiming that the formula provides a wide range of health benefits specifically for elderly people.

It’s interesting to see a super greens powder being targeted towards the older generation because typically, supplements are targeted at those in the ‘prime of health’, which actually seems a little strange when you think about it! So, this is an interesting take from Patriot Health Alliance.

The formula contains over 60 potent ingredients, from greens and fruits to herbal extracts to digestive enzymes and probiotics. However, unfortunately, all of these ingredients exist within a proprietary blend, and therefore it’s impossible to know if the ingredients within the formula are sufficiently dosed – I’ll be looking more closely at this later on in this article!

PROS

  • Lots of potent ingredients
  • The taste is pleasant

CONS

  • Contains proprietary blends (not a fully disclosed ingredients label)
  • Very small serving size – 5.2g!

What is SuperGreen TONIK?

Supergreen TONIK Tub and Shaker

SuperGreen TONIK is my own super greens brand, and I’m completely transparent about that. However, I will judge SuperGreen TONIK as I would judge any other super greens brand, without bias.

SuperGreen TONIK is specifically formulated to provide the consumer with essential vitamins and minerals needed for optimum daily health, as well as provide benefits such as improved digestion, a supported immune system, and improved mental clarity.

SuperGreen TONIK has a much shorter list of ingredients than Patriot Power Greens, with 15 ingredients. However, the formula still contains a wide range of ingredients, including grasses, algae, herbal extracts, adaptogens, and of course, greens!

Although the formula has a lower number of ingredients than the Patriot Power Greens formula, the ingredients label is fully disclosed and no proprietary blends are used in the formula. Therefore, it’s easy for anyone and everyone to know how much of each ingredient exists within the formula.

PROS

  • Fully disclosed ingredients label
  • 15 superfood ingredients and 18 vitamins/minerals
  • Vegan, paleo, keto friendly formula
  • 365 money-back guarantee

CONS

  • Not the cheapest on the market

Patriot Power Greens Vs SuperGreen TONIK Benefits

Patriot Power Greens

Patriot Power Greens, as mentioned above, is marketed mostly to older people, so some of the health benefits of the formula are targeted towards reducing signs of aging, battling problems associated with aging, and boosting vitality. However, there are also a number of benefits that will be useful for people regardless of age.

On the Patriot Power Greens product page on the Patriot Health Alliance website, the health benefits information is clearly laid out, and each benefit is explained, which is useful.

The formula is supposed to boost energy and keep energy levels high throughout the day, promote healthy digestion, reduce inflammation, promote healthy aging, support brain function and improve mental clarity, support healthy joints, improve cardiovascular health, and support the natural detoxification process.

Although the brand hasn’t provided information about the specific ingredients within the formula as we will see with SuperGreen TONIK, some of the health benefits have been linked to specific ingredients.

For example, “Ingredients like spirulina help support detoxification”.

SuperGreen TONIK

SuperGreen TONIK isn’t specifically marketed towards older people, so the benefits of it are more diverse, although the formula will help strengthen the health of the consumer well into their old age!

However, much like Patriot Power Greens, the health benefits information of the formula is shown clearly on the SuperGreen TONIK website.

Overall, the formula will provide the consumer with essential vitamins and minerals, boost energy levels, improve mental clarity and boost cognitive function, boost the immune system, lower stress levels, reduce anxiety, boost mood, and improve sleep quality.

As well as the overall benefits of the formula, on the SuperGreen TONIK website, the benefits of each ingredient are shown, so you know exactly which ingredients provide you with which benefits, and which extra benefits the formula will provide you with!

For example, “Barley grass is rich in several nutrients and may promote weight loss, enhance heart health, and support better blood sugar control”.

Patriot Power Greens Vs SuperGreen TONIK Ingredients

Patriot Power Greens

Patriot Power Greens contains 40 fruit and vegetable ingredients, 10 probiotic strains, and 6 digestive enzymes, with all of the ingredients being gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, wheat-free, and non-GMO.

Although the formula contains some impressive ingredients, the problem is that all of the ingredients exist in a proprietary blend, meaning the amounts of each ingredient aren’t shown. Therefore, it’s impossible to know how much of each ingredient is within the formula and whether the ingredients are sufficiently dosed.

Although we can normally try and make an estimated guess about whether a formula will actually work or not, by taking a look at some of the ingredients within standard recommended doses and comparing them with the serving size, the majority of the ingredients within this formula do not have recommended doses, so it’s not that easy!

However, even looking at a few of the ingredients that do have recommended doses, such as spirulina (1–3 g per day), beet juice powder (3.5g to 7g per day), and inulin (2-3g per day), it’s obvious that the formula is most likely underdosed. If the formula serving size wasn’t so small and there were fewer ingredients, there would have been a better chance that the formula was sufficiently dosed.

Patriot Power Greens Label

SuperGreen TONIK

SuperGreen TONIK contains 15 ingredients, split up into particular blends (not proprietary blends!) based on the benefits of each specific ingredient. The formula is vegan, non-GMO, dairy-free, soy-free, egg-free, and made in a GMP facility!

The most important thing to me when creating SuperGreen TONIK, apart from obviously making a tasty, nutrient-rich formula, was that no proprietary blends were used and that the ingredients label was fully disclosed. So, you’ll find that the SuperGreen TONIK ingredients label transparently shows the amount of each ingredient within the formula, and every ingredient is sufficiently dosed.

By having a fully disclosed ingredients label, it’s easy for the consumer to see that the formula contains sufficiently dosed ingredients, but it also allows the consumer to see how much of what they are actually consuming, which really should be a necessity.

We can take a look at a couple of the ingredients within the formula to see that each ingredient is sufficiently dosed, just as we did with Patriot Power Greens.

For example, the recommended dose of spirulina sits between 1-3g, and the amount of spirulina in the formula is 2g. The recommended dose of ashwagandha is between 500-600mg, and the amount in the formula is 500mg, and so on and so on!

If you go through the amounts of the ingredients in the formula and check against the recommended doses, you’ll find that each ingredient is sufficiently dosed. Therefore, the benefits that SuperGreen TONIK claims that the formula will provide the consumer will actually be experienced by the consumer!

Patriot Power Greens Vs SuperGreen TONIK Taste

Patriot Power Greens

Patriot Power Greens is berry flavored and sweetened using stevia extract. The stevia extract in the formula definitely adds a sweetness to the formula, but the natural taste of the greens, grasses, and herbal extracts within the formula still remains.

It’s palatable and fairly pleasant, but it’s certainly not the best tasting super greens formula out there!

SuperGreen TONIK

SuperGreen TONIK isn’t flavored like Patriot Power Greens is, but it is also naturally sweetened using stevia extract. The stevia extract in the formula takes away the grassy, natural taste of the formula and leaves it tasting refreshing and pleasant.

SuperGreen TONIK actually scores second on my all-time best-tasting greens powders list!

Patriot Power Greens Vs SuperGreen TONIK Cost

Patriot Power Greens

One tub of Patriot Power Greens contains 30 servings of formula, at a serving size of 5.4g per serving. One tub costs $49.95, meaning the cost per serving works out at $1.67.

You can receive two free tubs of formula if you buy three tubs, meaning the cost per serving would work out at around $0.99, which is a huge discount!

The discount option cost per serving seems about right for a super greens formula that is made from proprietary blends and doesn’t have a fully disclosed label, but the full price of $1.67 cost per serving is way too expensive for this kind of formula and serving size, in my opinion.

SuperGreen TONIK

One tub of SuperGreen TONIK contains 30 servings of formula, at a serving size of 12 grams (over twice the size of Patriot Power Greens serving size). One tub costs $87, meaning the cost per serving works out at $2.90.

You can save money if you choose to order a bundle of formulas, with a 3-month having a cost per serving of $2.49, and a 5-month supply bundle having a cost per serving of $2.17.

Obviously, SuperGreen TONIK is more expensive than the Patriot Power Greens, but for obvious reasons, such as a fully disclosed label, sufficiently dosed ingredients, and a larger serving size, it’s justified. It’s also a lot cheaper than other formulas on the market, sitting about the middle of the road on the super greens market in terms of price.

Patriot Power Greens Vs SuperGreen TONIK: Which is Better?

The Patriot Power Greens formula might initially seem like a great choice, seeing as it’s berry flavored, slightly cheaper than SuperGreen TONIK, and has such a wide range of ingredients.

The truth is, the formula most likely contains insufficiently dosed ingredients meaning that it might not actually provide the benefits that the brand claims it will, the taste isn’t that pleasant, and it’s expensive for what it is!

Overall, seeing as SuperGreen TONIK has a serving size twice as big as Patriot Power Greens, has a fully disclosed ingredients label, contains sufficiently dosed ingredients, and tastes good, SuperGreen TONIK takes the win on this comparison!
