Peak Performance Organic Greens Superfood Powder Review

Organic Greens Superfood Powder is a superfood formula containing greens, fiber, enzymes, prebiotics, and herbal extracts. The formula is produced by Peak Performance, a well-known supplement brand, especially in the organic superfood world.

The Organic Greens formula is supposed to help alkalize and detox the body, as well as aid with digestion and increase energy levels. It’s marketed as the perfect supplement for everyone, from athletes to busy moms!

The formula is USDA Certified organic, meaning over 95% of the ingredients within the formula are organic. It’s also dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, and suitable for those on vegan and paleo diets.

Peak Performance Organic Greens is a formula that’s only getting more and more popular, especially as more people are switching over to organic diets, so I’m eager to take a closer look at the formula.

What is Peak Performance Organic Greens?

In my opinion, Peak Performance has hit the nail on the head when it comes to the website, branding, and content. As soon as you head onto the brand’s website you get a sense that the brand really knows what it’s doing, there’s an array of impactful visuals, no-nonsense branding, and informative content, including a blog and a podcast.

Looking at the Organic Greens formula, I’m immediately interested in it and keen to learn more about it. The branding of the formula is sleek and to the point, there’s a vast amount of information about the formula, as well as FAQs, and there are customer reviews.

My first impressions of the Organic Greens formula and the Peak Performance brand as a whole are really good and I’m really excited to take a closer look at the formula. Hopefully, I’ll still be as excited after checking out the contents of it!

Background on Peak Performance

Peak Performance was founded in 2016 by Talor Zamir after he found himself curing inflammation in his body with powerful ingredients. The brand produces everything from mushroom complex formulas and collagen, to protein powders and coffee.

The Organic Greens Superfood Powder is one of the brand’s bestsellers, alongside Reds Superfood Powder and Bone Broth formula.

Peak Performance also gives back. The brand is partnered in a 1-1 donation scheme with Vitamin Angels, a nonprofit organization that supplies vitamins to children suffering from, or at risk of malnutrition.

Peak Performance Organic Greens Benefits

Peak Performance provides a solid amount of information about the benefits of the Organic Greens formula, especially about the fact that the formula is alkalizing and aids with detoxing the body.

The brand claims that the formula will push toxins from the body, provide antioxidants that protect cells from radical damage, increase energy levels, aid with weight management, boost metabolism, and promote healthy aging.

Although the brand doesn’t go into detail about specific ingredients and the benefits they provide specifically, it does link certain benefits to groups of ingredients. For example, the brand claims that the protection of cells from radical damage is due to the greens within the formula.

Peak Performance Greens Ingredients

Peak Performance Organic Greens contains over 25 ingredients, which are all unfortunately found in proprietary blends. I’ll be touching more on proprietary blends later, but essentially, they’re such a pain because you can’t see the amount of each ingredient within the formula.

Nonetheless, let’s not get ahead of ourselves! Let’s take a look at the ingredients within the formula.

Here is the complete list of ingredients:

  • Organic Greens (2,500mg) – Organic Barley Grass Juice, Organic Moringa Leaf, Organic Kale (leaf), Organic Wheat Grass Juice, Organic Chlorella, Organic Spirulina
  • Organic Garden Blend (2,000mg) – Organic Sweet Potato (root), Organic Carrot Juice (root), Organic Kale (leaf), Organic Spinach (leaf), Organic Broccoli (flower & stem), Organic Parsley (leaf)
  • Organic Glucose Balance Blend (2,075mg) – Organic Whole Apple (fruit), Organic Gymnema Extract, Organic Cinnamon Extract, Organic Bitter Melon Extract
  • Fiber & Digestion Blend (2,390mg) – Organic Prebiotic Vegetable Fiber (from tapioca starch), Organic Acacia Fiber, Organic Proprietary Digestive Enzyme Blend (Amylase, Protease, Lipase, Cellulase), Probiotics (Bacillus Coagulans)
  • Organic Inflammatory Response, Immune, Muscle & Joint Blend (265mg) – Organic Blueberry (fruit), Organic Green Tea Extract (leaf), Organic Grape Skin Extract, Organic Grape Resveratrol Extract, Organic Turmeric Extract (root)

  • Other Ingredients – Organic Flavors (Plant Based), Organic Stevia

How does Peak Performance Organic Greens Taste?

There are two different types of the Peak Performance Organic Greens formula – Delicious Greens and Unsweetened.

The Delicious Greens formula is sweetened with stevia and although some people are keen on it, others think the stevia is too overpowering and that you can still taste the grassy greens flavor coming through.

One customer feedback did make me smile, stating that it tastes like “licking the underside of a lawnmower”.

The Unsweetened formula obviously has no flavoring or sweetening ingredients, and even those that are huge fans of the formula think it’s pungent.

Side Effects

Peak Performance hasn’t warned of any side effects that the formula may cause. However, the formula has warned against certain types of people consuming the formula, and like music to my ears, it’s all the people I normally warn about taking a super greens supplement.

The brand states that the formula should be used by healthy adults over 18 years old, and that people who are pregnant, nursing shouldn’t consume the formula. The brand also recommends taking medication or dealing with a medical condition to speak to a doctor before consumption.

Does Peak Performance Organic Greens Work?

The Peak Performance Organic Greens is made up of proprietary blends, which is a huge disappointment. Unfortunately, when brands use prosperity blends, it means that the amount of the blends are shown, but there’s no information about the amounts of each ingredient within the blend.

So, it’s impossible for the consumer to know how much of what ingredients they’re actually consuming. It’s also impossible therefore to know if the formula is sufficiently dosed and whether or not it will actually provide the health benefits it’s supposed to.

Organic Greens Blend weighs 2.5g, and the Spirulina and chlorella combined…. not all of the ingredients within this formula aren’t sufficiently dosed.

Although most of the ingredients within this formula don’t have recommended daily doses, some of the super greens ingredients do. So, let’s take a look to see if the Organic Greens Blend looks like it contains sufficiently dosed ingredients, or not.

The Organic Greens Blend weighs 2.5g, and the Spirulina and chlorella combined (only two ingredients in a blend of five), have recommended daily doses that add up to 3g. So, it can be said that not all of the ingredients within this formula aren’t sufficiently dosed.

Overall, since the formula contains proprietary blends, it’s impossible to see whether the formula will actually work or not.

Peak Performance Organic Greens Reviews

Peak Performance Organic Greens is available on Amazon, and there are so many reviews about the formula, proving its popularity!

There are over 2,500 ratings of the product, with the overall rating being 4.4 stars out of 5 stars. Let’s take a look at some of these reviews below.

My family loves this product! Even my kids look forward to it. The taste is great. High-quality ingredients. We are all fighting over it. Takes a little pressure off of a working mom to provide good nutrition to my family.5-star review

Tasted great! However, after drinking religiously EVERYDAY UNTIL THE PRODUCT WAS GONE I never felt any differently than if I had eaten a juicy hamburger. I did not feel full, it did not “help clean out my system”, (matter of fact I was a little constipated with this), only difference I saw was that my poop was a little green. I know…tmi – but it is what it is… lol! I will not buy this product again; it’s a shame it didn’t do what it said it would do because the taste was really good – that’s the only reason I gave it three stars.3-star review

I emailed the company when I realized there was no vitamin profile on the label. They got back to me the next day to tell me they don’t have one. If you’re using a supplement daily, you better know what’s in it. No thank you, returning for something more transparent. It also smells like cow manure. I could have gotten past that if I knew it fit into my diet safely, but I can’t say it does, so that’s a huge failure.1-star review

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

Peak Performance offers a 60-day money-back guarantee, which is great to see!

Where to buy?

You can buy the Organic Greens formula on the Peak Performance website and on Amazon.

Is It Worth The Price?

One tub of Organic Greens contains 30 servings of formula and costs $39.95, meaning the cost per serving of the formula is $1.33.

But wait, there are a multitude of ways to save money if purchasing this formula.

If you subscribe to receive the formula regularly, you save 10%, meaning the formula cost per serving works out at $1.20. If you buy a three-pack of tubs, you also save 10%.

If you buy a 6 pack of tubs, you save 20%, meaning the cost per serving of the formula works out at $1.06.

This formula isn’t overly expensive, especially compared to other formulas on the market. However, I don’t think I’d go as far as saying it’s worth the price, simply because it is made up of proprietary blends.

The Bottom Line

I really like the Peak Performance brand, and honestly, everything about the formula and the brand as a whole hits the mark, apart from one thing. Unfortunately, due to the fact that the formula is lacking a fully disclosed ingredients label, I wouldn’t personally purchase this formula.

However, for someone that’s just starting off on their super greens journey and isn’t wanting to spend a lot of money, I do think that this is a good option. I can certainly see the appeal of this product, so I understand why it’s so popular.

However, simply because I really like to know how much of what is in the supplements I’m consuming, I wouldn’t personally choose this formula.

Instead, I would go for a greens powder with a fully disclosed ingredients label so I can check that the ingredients are sufficiently dosed.
