In this review I’ll be comparing two of the industry’s most popular red superfoods powders: Red Tonik vs Biohm Super Reds.
Which reds powder comes out on top when it comes to ingredients, pricing, or health benefits?
Let’s take a closer look.
What To Look For In A Reds Powder
Reds powders are designed with a few goals in mind.
First and foremost, their nitrate content allows them to boost your body’s nitric oxide production, leading to better athletic performance and higher energy levels overall. (Source)
This is why beets are often used for pre-workout too.
When selecting a reds supplement, I always strive to pick an ingredient formula that fully discloses its dosages.
This is crucial so that you know the dosages of a supplement.
What Is Red Tonik?
Red Tonik is one of the newest reds powders on the market today.
Its minimalist design is rich in adaptogens, superfoods, vitamins, and minerals.
I designed Red Tonik this way because most reds powders on the market today feature far too many ingredients, far too many proprietary blends, and far too little transparency.
Pros
- 100% transparent ingredients with beets, cordyceps, adaptogens, berries
- Industry-leading money-back guarantee
- Manufactured in a cGMP facility
- Tested by independent labs
- Vegan/vegetarian-friendly and Keto/paleo-friendly
Cons
- Slightly expensive, but cheaper with bundles
- Too new to have tons of customer reviews

What Is Biohm Super Reds?
Biohm’s Super Reds is a physician-designed product made by a physician-owned brand.
On first glance BIOHM Health’s Super Reds couldn’t be much more impressive.
The brand’s website is sleek, aesthetic, and seriously science-minded.
The brand goes the extra mile by offering customers a gut health quiz that helps them figure out which products are best for them.
The brand has an ultra-educational blog, too.
BIOHM Health was co-founded by Dr. M. Ghannoum in 2016 after Dr. Ghannoum discovered that bacterial and fungal imbalances are responsible for damaging the digestive tract.
To this day virtually all their products take a gut-centered approach.
Their Super Reds are designed to ‘push’ toxins out of the body and properly colonize the gut.
Pros
- Physician-led
- Physician-made
- Reasonably priced
- Gut-health oriented
Cons
- Too many proprietary blends

Biohm Super Reds Top Benefits
While Super Reds does have plenty of nice ingredients, all of the active ones are hidden away in proprietary blends.
This makes it next to impossible to figure out how effective Super Reds is.
While Super Reds may optimize NO2… may improve athletic endurance… may improve antioxidant status…
I simply can’t know for sure.
It’s clear that some of the ingredients in Super Reds, notably those in the Digestive Blend, aren’t present in large enough quantities.
Red Tonik vs Biohm Super Reds: How Do They Taste?
It’s rare to find a reds powder with a universally-enjoyed taste.
Most of the powders I’ve reviewed are pretty hit-or-miss!
Red Tonik Taste
I like the taste of Red Tonik (which I suppose isn’t that surprising, given I created it and all).
Most customers enjoy Red Tonik’s flavor, too.
Biohm Super Reds Taste
BIOHM Super Reds’ pomegranate flavor is all-natural and powered by monkfruit extract.
Most customers seem to like it, although some say it’s far too sweet.
Red Tonik vs Biohm Super Reds: Where to Buy?
You can buy Red Tonik on their website here, while BIOHM’s Super Reds are available on their website and on Amazon.

Red Tonik Pricing and Refund Policy
Red Tonik is more expensive than Biohm Super Reds, but gets much more affordable when purchasing their bundles.
It gets progressively cheaper, however, the more you buy:
- $77 per month, equivalent to $2.56 per serving
- $197 per 3 months, equivalent to $2.18 per serving (plus free shipping)
- $337 per 6 months, equivalent to $1.85 per serving (plus free shipping)
Red Tonik may not be cheap, but don’t let that scare you off.
New customers can try Red Tonik rent-free thanks to its 1-year money-back guarantee.
If you don’t like the flavor or the health benefits of Red Tonik, you’re free to return it within a year and get a full refund!
Biohm Super Reds Pricing and Refund Policy
BIOHM Super Reds is available in 30-serving tubs.
It’s surprisingly affordable, and becomes even more so if you buy in bulk:
- $44.99 per month, equivalent to $1.50 per serving
- $35.99 per month, equivalent to $1.20 per serving with a subscription
Even $1.20 a day, however, is a little more than I feel comfortable spending on a product with so many unknowns.
Let’s see what customers say about BOHM Super Reds next — maybe that’ll give us a better idea of whether or not it’s worth it.
What Customers Say About Red Tonik And Biohm Super Reds?
Red Tonik Top Reviews
Red Tonik has only been on the market since August 2022, so it simply hasn’t had the time to gather up a significant amount of reviews.
Here’s what customers say so far:
Andy from the US says:
This is a game changer for my health & fitness.
Paul from the UK says:
Love the colour, the taste. Awesome way to get your beets and berries in one glass!
Biohm Super Reds Top Reviews
On Amazon Super Reds has over 100 reviews averaging 4.7 stars each.
One customer thinks that Super Reds should be more scrupulous when sourcing its ingredients:
I'll just say up front that I generally don't like beets. However, that wasn't the problem for me with this mix. It doesn't taste like beets to me…. and that's good. Maybe their flavor is overwhelmed by pomegranate, cherry, blueberry, cranberry, raspberry, and strawberry? Maybe it is the mushrooms, seeds, or whatever. […] Why aren't all those good ingredients certified organic? […] Use organic ingredients and lose the monk fruit. Do that and I'll be back as a customer
Another reviewer, however, thinks Super Reds is ‘perfect’:
I'm a busy mom and don't always have time to fix a big nutritious meal… and yet I still want to be providing my body with powerhouse nutrients to keep me going through the day. […] Flavor-wise, I thought it was pretty good. […] If you make a smoothie using this powder, vanilla protein, a few frozen strawberries, and coconut milk, It's absolutely delicious and I don't pick up on the beets at all. This product is definitely on the pricey side, but as with most things in life, you get what you pay for. I would order this again.
Red Tonik vs Biohm Super Reds: My Verdict
While BIOHM’s Super Reds starts off with good intentions, it fails for the same reason so many other reds powders do: sorely lacking transparency.
Its taste also seems to be a sore point for many customers.
Red Tonik, on the other hand, still needs to prove itself to a larger customer base. Based on its purity and transparency, however, I suspect that these future customers will enjoy Red Tonik as much as current ones have.
LifeHacker Guy Reds Recommendation
I designed Red Tonik after trying over 80 superfood supplements and noticing just how common proprietary blends and other shady marketing were.
Most super reds supplements are disappointing.
In 2022 I created my own super reds brand that ticks every single box of what I look for in a super reds supplement:
- No hidden ingredient amounts - we have full disclosure labelling, so you know EXACTLY whats inside
- Ingredient amounts that make a difference - we include the minimum effective amounts supported by research, and most of the time, MORE
- Ingredients that help cardiovascular health, boost antioxidant intake and help recovery - making for a much more productive and happy lifestyle
No more worrying about ineffective ingredients or too low dosages. I finally have a product I KNOW does the job it’s made to do.
I use it every day and, after years of battling Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), I now have my energy (and my life!) back.
The good news? I made my brand available to the public so you can see and feel the difference for yourself.
