Thryve Gut Health First Impressions
Thryve definitely looks like an impressive company and I’m certainly interested in taking a closer look at the company and what it provides.
The Thryve website is pretty exceptional – everything is sleek, there are beautiful visuals, and informative content and graphics.
The Thryve Gut Health Test looks equally as impressive and since it’s backed up with substantial scientific evidence and the test is done in a US laboratory that is certified to meet ISO standards, I think it looks great.
I also really appreciate the digital health report, customized probiotics, and personalized food plan that comes with the test.
However, I would’ve liked to see more information about the personalized supplements that are provided after the Gut Health Test – there really isn’t a lot of information about the supplements that are provided.

Founded in 2016 by Richard Lin, Thryve was one of the world’s first companies to provide comprehensive gut microbiome tests whilst also providing personalized supplements and nutrition plans.
Lin founded the company after becoming hospitalized due to a major gut infection after taking antibiotics.
After reading and researching everything he could about gut health, Lin found himself still left with more questions and started Thryve to try and provide people with more comprehensive gut health tests and supplements to support them.
The company has clearly become successful since being founded, and in 2018 it secured $1.4 million in funding.

Thyrve claims that the Gut Health Test and the personalized probiotic supplements that they produce provide a wide range of benefits.
The supplements are supposed to reduce constipation, decrease bloating, reduce inflammation, support immunity, promote ketosis, improve mental clarity, boost focus, and improve energy levels.
Thryve Gut Health Ingredients
Once the results from the Thryve Gut Health Test have come through, Thryve provides personalized probiotic supplements to the consumer.
Although it’s unclear what type of supplement you will get and therefore it’s unclear the ingredients within the formula will be, the brand does provide information about the selection of the ingredients that they use.
However, there’s no information provided about the amounts of each ingredient.
- Lactobacillus paracasei Th1 and Th2 L, Lactobacillus reuteri Tr1, Bacillus, Lactobacillus, and Bifidobacterium species. All of the capsules made by Thryve are gluten-free and made from vegetable cellulose.
How does Thryve Gut Health Supplements Taste?
All of Thryve’s supplements are capsule supplements and therefore, there is no taste associated with them.
Side Effects
There are no side effects associated with the personalized probiotics supplements.
However, I would suggest that those who have immune system disorders, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or those under 18 should consult a doctor before consuming the supplements.
Does Thryve Gut Health Work?
Unlike other supplements and products I review here, Thryve Gut Health is a little different. This is down to two reasons.
The first being that the test is just that, a test, and the second being that there isn’t one specific supplement that the brand provides since the brand creates personalized supplements depending on the results from the test.
Looking at the Gut Health Test that the brand provides, it seems as if the test should work. It’s backed up with scientific advisors, referenced against hundreds of journals and scientific studies, which is promising.
However, the brand actually doesn’t provide a lot of information about the test service, which is a shame, and therefore it’s unclear how the results from the tests impact the personalized supplements that are provided.
When it comes to the personalized supplements that are provided after the Gut Test, it’s unclear what the efficacy of these supplements would be since there’s very little information provided by them.
Therefore, it’s unclear if the test or the supplements will work. Although, the positive customer reviews seem to prove evidence that the supplements may work!

I also think this is reasonably priced, especially since the price of all of these options includes a Digital Health Report, Customized Probiotics, and a Personalized Food Plan.
My Final Verdict
Thryve seems to be an impressive company and the Gut Health Test that it provides definitely seems to be comprehensive, especially since it’s performed in a US laboratory that is certified to meet ISO standards.
I’m also impressed by the digital health report and the personalized food plan that the brand creates after the test results are compiled.
However, when it comes to the personalised probiotics supplements that are provided after the test, it’s unclear that they will be effective and provide results since there’s a lack of information about the supplements that are provided and the amounts of ingredients in the formula.
If you are looking for a comprehensive gut health test, buying a Thryve Gut Health Test could be a good choice! However, when it comes to the personalized probiotics that the company provides, it’s unclear how effective they will be.
