Green Magma, produced by Green Foods, is a superfood formula that provides the body with a large dose of chlorophyll.

There are only three ingredients within the formula, with the most important being organic barley grass juice, a potent ingredient that’s included in nearly every super greens formula on the market. It also contains organic maltodextrin and organic brown rice.

Green Foods claims that Green Magma improves and regulates digestion, supports the immune system, boosts energy levels and speeds up hair and nail growth, as well as improving the appearance of the skin.

I’m really keen to take a closer look at this three-ingredient formula and see if it really does pack the punch it claims to. Let’s take a look at my full Green Magma review below.

Green Magma First Impressions

The first impression of the product itself is that it looks outdated. Green Foods has been incorporated since 1979, and I’m not sure if they have changed the branding since then.

In comparison to other super greens formulas I reviewed, it’s not the boldest or more engaging. However, I do think there’s something to be said for keeping things the way they are if that is what’s working.

Although the branding might not be very interesting, the level of information that can be found about the product on the site is good – it’s simple and informative for the consumer. The same level of information can be found across the range of products on the site and when it comes to learning more about the brand.

Green Foods also gives back to the world. The brand is partnered with One Tree Planted, an organization that plants trees all around the world, and they give a percentage (although not disclosed) of monthly profits to it.

Background on Green Foods

Green Foods was founded over four decades ago in 1979 and has been committed ever since producing the most powerful formulas with the least amount of ingredients necessary. All of the ingredients the brand uses are organic, and in this case, the formula is USDA certified organic, gluten-free, non-GMO, soy-free, wheat-free, and suitable for vegans.

Ten years before the company was founded, well-renowned doctor and researcher Dr. Yoshihide Hagiwara found that Barley Grass is one of the most potent and nutritious plants on the entire planet, and he was committed to bringing these health benefits straight to the consumer in powdered form.

The formula has never changed since it was created and obviously the brand has been incredibly successful since.

As well as the Green Magma formula the brand produces an array of supplements, from matcha and collagen to vegan proteins and even dog treats.

Green Magma Ingredients

The recommended serving size of Green Magma is 6g of the formula, or six tablets if you have the tablet form.

As mentioned previously, the formula only contains three ingredients. These three ingredients are Barley Grass Juice, Organic Maltodextrin (from organic tapioca), and Organic Brown Rice.

Although the amount of each ingredient isn’t showing on the ingredients list on the tub or website, the entire nutrient content is displayed.

Rather than the individual ingredients taking center stage, the amount of Chlorophyll in this formula is what stands apart. There’s 13mg (1.3g) of Chlorophyll per serving.

How does Green Magma Taste?

In an effort to make sure the formula stays as natural and raw as possible, there are no added flavorings, and therefore the taste isn’t going to compare to other super greens formulas on the market that are chocolate or berry-flavored for example.

The taste isn’t incredibly overpowering or too strong, it tastes similar to matcha tea.

Other greens available unflavored include:
