Triple Greens Powder Review: Benefits, Drawbacks, And Cost

Triple Greens Powder, by Purity Products, is a phytonutrient superfood formula containing greens, fruits, herbal extracts, digestive enzymes, and probiotics. The formula is marketed as a quick and easy way to increase health and wellbeing, with the brand saying it’s a “shortcut to better health”.

Although the formula contains an extensive range of ingredients, the formula has a few specific health benefits associated with it – it’s supposed to increase energy, and vitality, and support the digestive system, and immunity.

Purity Products has been around for over two decades, and is a well-known supplement brand, meaning the Triple Greens Powder is a popular greens formula on the market.

What is Triple Greens Powder?

The Purity Products website is really impressive. There are aesthetically pleasing visuals, a wide range of products, and a large amount of informative content all over the website – it certainly looks like the brand knows exactly what it’s doing!

Looking at the Triple Greens Powder for the first time, once again I am impressed by the volume of information available about the formula, especially the benefits of its formula.

It’s also great to see the certificate of analysis, the product recipe, and the product report are all on the product page and available to download as a PDF. This immediately gives me the impression that the brand is transparent and customer-focused!

I’m impressed by Purity Products and the Triple Greens Powder so far, and I’m keen to take a closer look at the formula’s ingredients list to see if the formula really lives up to my extremely positive first impressions of it.

Background on Purity Products

Purity Products was founded in 1993 by Jahn Levin, and is still popular today, which is an impressive feat for a company that’s been in the business for over 25 years.

The brand pledges to produce the most powerful formulas, made from the most potent and high-quality ingredients, with a “5 P’s” ethos – products, purpose, people, potency, and purity.

Purity Products also conducts a lot of charity work, partnering with various charities such as Vitamin Angels and The Warrior Reunion Foundation – it’s great to see a big company giving back!

Although Triple Greens Powder is a popular product of the brand, the brand has over 200 formulas listed on its website, from multivitamins and probiotics to protein formula and calming capsules!

Triple Greens Powder Benefits

Purity Products provides a lot of information about the benefits of Triple Greens Powder, which is great! Overall, the brand claims that the formula focuses on three main areas – it will support energy levels, support heart and brain health, and support the immune system.

The brand also claims that the formula will provide the consumer with 9 servings of greens, which is a bold claim.

Purity Products also claims that the fruit and vegetables within the formula will provide antioxidant protection, which prevents free-radicals in the body and pushes toxins from the body.

Triple Greens Powder Ingredients

Triple Greens is made up of over 50 ingredients, including the flavoring ingredients. The amounts of most of the ingredients are shown, which is really promising and shows that the brand values transparency. However, there are two small proprietary blends within the formula, which isn’t great, and I’ll be taking a closer look at why a little later in this review.

First, let’s take a look at the ingredients within the formula.

Here is the complete list of Triple Greens Powder ingredients:

  • Triple Greens Fruit Proprietary Blend (1,459mg) – Organic Papaya, Organic Pineapple, Banana Powder, Organic Bilberry Extract, Organic Strawberry Powder
  • Triple Greens Vegetable Proprietary Blend (1,339mg) – Organic Parsley Powder, Organic Celery Powder, Organic Carrot Powder

How does Triple Greens Powder Taste?

Although Triple Greens isn’t marketed as having a specific flavor, it’s heavily flavored with various berry powders, apple powder, pineapple juice powder, vanilla flavor, spearmint flavor, and cinnamon powder. It’s also sweetened using stevia extract,

Some people like the taste of the formula, but most people think the formula is overly sweetened with stevia extract, making it unappetizing.

Side Effects

Purity Products doesn’t warn about any side effects that consumers may experience from consuming Triple Greens, but the brand does advise that those that are pregnant or breastfeeding should seek medical advice before consuming the formula.

I would just add to this that if you’re under 18, taking medication, or living with a medical condition, you should also consult a doctor before consuming any new supplement.

Does Triple Greens Powder Work?

On the ingredients label of Triple Greens Powder, most of the amounts of ingredients are shown, which shows that the brand is transparent. Transparency is something that’s really important when it comes to supplements because you should know exactly what you’re consuming, especially when you’re consuming potent ingredients.

Most of the ingredients that are listed actually don’t have recommended daily dosages, so it’s difficult to say whether they’re sufficiently dosed or not.

most of the ingredients don’t have recommended daily dosages, it’s impossible to actually know if the ingredients are sufficiently dosed

Nonetheless, it’s great that the brand has been transparent with most of the ingredients.

Although, I say most because there are two proprietary blends within the formula, which is disappointing.

Proprietary blends are trouble because you can’t see how much of each ingredient exists within the formula.

Although, as mentioned above, as most of the ingredients don’t have recommended daily dosages, it’s impossible to actually know if the ingredients are sufficiently dosed because there’s nothing to compare them to.

Overall, it’s unclear whether the formula will actually work or not.

Triple Greens Powder Reviews

There is a product page for another type of Triple Greens by Purity products, but it’s outdated and the last review is from 2013. So, I’ve chosen to look at the Purity Products website for customer reviews on the Triple Greens website.

Although it’s typically risky to look at a brand’s website for reviews because they’re normally biased, Purity Products seems to be pretty open about showing honest reviews of the product, with several reviews under 5 stars.

So, let’s take a look at a selection of these reviews below.

Myself, husband and teenage son start every day with them. Tried other products claiming to be similar but there is no comparison to the quality and taste of triple greens from purity product.5-star reviewer

I believe this could be a GREAT product but the excessive amount of stevia makes it way, way, way too “sweet” and leaves a bad aftertaste. I thought it might just be me but my husband tried the product one day (without knowing my opinion) and immediately made a comment about the excessive stevia.3-star reviewer

I have been using Triple Greens for more than 15 years. During that time I have noticed the taste of the product changing ever so slightly and not for the better. This last change made Triple Greens undrinkable so I returned the product.1-star reviewer

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

Purity Products offers a 60-day money-back guarantee, but the customer has to cover shipping costs.

Where to buy Triple Greens Powder?

You can buy Triple Greens Powder from the Purity Products website, from Walmart, and from other online third party supplement retailers.

Is It Worth The Price?

One tub of Triple Greens Powder contains 30 servings of formula and costs $49.95, meaning the cost per serving works out at $1.67.

You can save 30%, and 50% off future purchases on the Purity Products site if you choose to subscribe to the formula, meaning the cost per tub works out at $34.95 and the cost per serving works out at $1.17.

This is a fairly inexpensive greens formula in comparison to other formulas on the market, especially seeing as the brand has supplied information about the amounts of most of the ingredients within the formula.

The Bottom Line

It’s clear that the Purity Products brand has been very successful over the years, and is still a success today. The brand is impressive, as are the products it produces.

The Triple Greens formula is relatively inexpensive in comparison to other super greens formulas on the market, it contains a wide range of ingredients, including probiotics, digestive enzymes, and herbal extracts, and the amounts of most of the ingredients are disclosed.

It’s a shame that the formula doesn’t contain a lot of classic super greens ingredients, contains two proprietary blends, and tastes so strongly of stevia. However, overall, I don’t have a lot of negative things to say about the formula.

Overall, I think Triple Greens is a relatively good formula – there are better greens powders out there and there are worse. This is a middle of the road greens powder in my opinion.
