Natures Way Super Greens

Nature’s Way Super Greens Plus Review

Super Greens Plus formula is a super greens formula packed with potent fruit and vegetables, amino acids, probiotics, and prebiotics, produced by the Australian brand Nature’s Way.

The formula is said to increase energy, support vitality, and provide the consumer with a high nutrient dose of goodness to improve overall health and wellbeing. It’s also vegan, gluten-free, peanut-free, and non-GMO.

I’m really keen to take a closer look at this formula, especially because the brand claims that it increases energy and I’m always looking for new ways to do that!

If you’re also keen to take a look, check out my full Nature’s Way Super Greens Plus review below.

I tried over 40 brands: check out my best super greens!)

Nature’s Way Super Greens Plus First Impressions

I’m super impressed with Nature’s Way Super Greens Plus upon first glance. The formula’s branding is bold, there’s an array of information about the formula, and the brand’s website even has recipe and blog pages.

Whenever I’m looking at a brand and a product, in particular, one of the most important things for me is whether the brand is transparent or not. I’m really impressed with how transparent this brand is and I can see fully disclosed ingredients labels and information!

I’m really hoping that once I take a much closer look at this formula, I still like it as much as I do at an initial glance.

Background on Nature’s Way

Nature’s Way was founded over 70 years ago and is one of the most popular and most trusted health and wellbeing brands in Australia. Since 2000, Nature’s Way has been part of the New South Wales-based company, Pharmacare.

Pharmacare is one of the largest companies in the health and wellbeing market in Australia, and it’s actually been mentioned in my reviews before because the Bioglan brand is also owned by them.

Although Nature’s Way was founded such a long time ago, with the help of Pharmacare, it just keeps evolving and pushing forward in the supplement world, going from strength to strength.

Nature’s Way Super Greens Plus Benefits

Nature’s Way actually doesn’t market the benefits of the formula a lot, and modestly claims that the formula will increase energy, support vitality, and boost overall health and wellbeing.

Looking at the ingredients within the formula, it should also improve digestion, reduce inflammation, protect cells from radical damage and push toxins from the body, amongst other things.

Although it’s nice to see a brand being so modest about a product, a longer list of benefits would be useful for consumers that wouldn’t take the time to look at the ingredients list closely.

Nature’s Way Super Greens Plus Ingredients

There are 81 ingredients within the Super Greens Plus blend, I think this is the most ingredients I have seen in a greens formula!

Beating Green Vibrance at 70 ingredients and one of my favorites Athletic Greens at 75 ingredients!

The brand has been completely transparent with the ingredients label, with the amount of each ingredient, apart from the flavorings, is shown, NO proprietary blend in sight!

I am a bit concerned that with so many ingredients that the weights of some may be too low to be beneficial though, I will address this further down.

So, let’s take a look at the ingredients in Nature’s Way Super Greens Plus formula. Get ready for a lot of them!

How does Nature’s Way Super Greens Plus Taste?

Nature’s Way Super Greens Plus is available in Tropical flavor. It’s naturally flavored with vanilla flavor, mixed berry flavor powder, and stevia powder.

The natural flavoring used in the formula really disguises the natural grassy taste that a lot of other formulas have, but it is overly sweet due to the stevia.

A lot of people find the sweetness of the formula really difficult to get past.

Side Effects

Nature’s Way makes it very clear that this formula contains soy and milk, so is unsuitable for those with those allergens.

The brand also makes the consumers aware that it’s not a suitable formula for those that are pregnant or breastfeeding, and if you are on Warfarin therapy, you will need to consult a medical professional.

Does Nature’s Way Super Greens Plus Work?

I’m really pleased to see that Nature’s Way is so transparent and there’s a fully disclosed list of ingredients. This means that the consumer can see how much of each ingredient they’re consuming and work out if they’re actually consuming the right amount for benefits to happen.

That’s exactly what I’m going to take a look at – whether the amounts of the ingredients in this formula will actually provide the consumer with health benefits.

Let’s take a look at Spirulina first (it’s a great ingredient to use as it’s included in the majority of super greens formulas). There’s 1000mg of Spirulina in each serving and the daily recommended dose of Spirulina is between 1-3g (1), meaning it reaches the recommended amount!

However, taking a look at Chlorella, there’s only 333mg of Chlorella per serving and the daily recommended dosage sits between 2-5g, and therefore this doesn’t reach the recommended amount and may not provide strong health benefits.

Overall, it’s unclear whether every ingredient within the formula will meet the recommended dosage and provide the consumer with health benefits. However, the consumer can take a look at each ingredient to actually figure it out because the label is transparent.

Nature’s Way Super Greens Plus Reviews

Nature’s Way Super Greens Plus formula is available on Amazon, but there are only 5 reviews. On the plus side, all 5 reviews are 5-star! However, I’ve chosen to look elsewhere to get a more rounded set of views on the product.

Looking at Productreview.com.au, there are 16 reviews, and the formula overall scores 3.8 stars out of 5 stars.

Let’s check out these reviews below.

I add this powder to unsweetened coconut milk with chocolate collagen powder in a big shaker, tastes great. To cut down on the sweetness of the Stevia, I only use half the recommended dose and take it twice a day.I do not eat very well due to illness and I find Super Greens Powder supplies me with all I am missing out on from my irregular diet. My hair, nails and skin look better than they have in a long time and I feel well within myself.5-star review

I agree with many reviews. I find this product very sweet and synthetic. I love my green smoothies and when I add this it makes them revolting! Such a shame that a NON sweetener one doesn't exist 🙁 …My husband really likes this though and has it in his berry and banana smoothies.3-star review

I would love to be able to drink this, but I’ve tried it twice in the last few weeks and both times became very sick and vomited a few hours later.1-star review

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

Nature’s Way sells Super Greens Plus through Health 365, and although there isn’t a money-back guarantee, they do offer a 7-day refund for unopened products.

Where to buy Nature’s Way Super Greens Plus?

If you’re in Australia, you can order Nature’s Way Super Greens Plus online via Nature’s Way website, or in shops such as Woolworths and Coles. If you are elsewhere in the world, you can order the product through Amazon.

Is It Worth The Price?

A 300g tub of Nature’s Way Super Greens Plus, which contains 30 servings, costs $47.99 AUD. This works out at a cost per serving of $1.60. In USD, this converts approximately to $33.72 USD for the tub and a cost per serving $1.12.

This is a really reasonable cost per serving, especially seeing as all the brand is completely transparent and all of the ingredients within the formula are fully disclosed.

Nature’s Way ships its products through Health 365, an Australian online supplement retailer – they don’t ship internationally.

However, you can get international delivery if you order the product through Amazon, and shipping rates depend on where you are in the world.

My Final Verdict

After taking a closer look at this formula, I have to say that it's not a bad greens supplement.

I really appreciate how transparent Nature’s Way is, I’m impressed with the number of potent ingredients within the formula and it’s also a cost-friendly product.

There is a downside of such a large number of ingredients in one formula – many of the ingredients are a little light in dosage. This means it won't pack that superfood punch that some other greens powders have.

Nice brand but just too many ingredients crammed into the formula for me. So, I would most likely skip this one and look for a formula with the emphasis on “less is more”.

  1. Hi Adam I doing chemotherapy and looking for a good quality green drink to help my poor immune system (and the rest of me through this) I have had 6 lots of chemo so far and have another 12 months of another treatment to go.
I’m gluten intolerant so need to consider that. What would you suggest.

    1. Hey Leonie,
Sorry to hear you have been undergoing chemotherapy, my mum did a course of treatments some years ago and so know it can be rough.
You can check out the round up of greens powders, for full transparency I developed Supergreen Tonik to help with my chronic fatigue symptoms. There is barley grass in my product and so it’s not considered gluten free though.
      Let me know your thoughts.
