PaleoPro Greens Powder review

PaleoPro Greens Powder Review

Paleo Greens Powder is a super greens formula made specifically for those that follow a paleo diet, by the popular health and wellbeing brand Paleo Pro.

The formula only contains four whole food ingredients, but they are some of the most potent ingredients that can be found in the natural world.

The brand claims that the formula will support digestion, balance insulin levels, improve iron levels, and overall support a healthy lifestyle. As well as being paleo-friendly, it’s also vegan, whey-free, gluten-free, soy-free, and contains no added sugar.

As Paleo Greens is one of the best sellers produced by Paleo Pro, I am really eager to take a closer look and see if the formula actually lives up to all it’s made out to be.

Paleo Pro Greens Powder First Impressions

When it comes to taking a first look at the Paleo Greens formula and the Paleo Pro brand, everything looks great.

Rather than using bulky tubs, the brand uses brightly colored pouches with clear information on it about what the product is, as well as little illustrations. The packaging is great, and it’s definitely something I’d be interested in purchasing at first glance.

The Paleo Pro website is also clear, intriguing, and easy to use. However, I think it would be nice to see more information about the consumer health benefits from the Paleo Greens formula.

I think the brand might think that assumes that the consumer knows how each vitamin and mineral will benefit them, however, they might not, so it would be nice to see more benefits information.

Overall, the Paleo Greens formula and Paleo Pro as an entire brand makes a really good first impression.

Background on Paleo Pro LLC.

Founded in 2017, Paleo Pro is a well-known brand in the health and wellbeing industry, even though it’s relatively new onto the scene.

Doug Smith and Bill Fitzsimmons started the brand and still lead the way today. As people on paleo diets, they were both sick of seeing paleo alternatives of products done badly, so they decided to create their own brand, from real food!

As well as the Paleo Greens formula, the brand produces a multitude of products, with everything from protein powder to bone broth collagen featuring on the brand’s website.

In addition, the brand is constantly creating new products, with Primal Protein Bars being the newest drop.

Paleo Pro Greens Powder Ingredients

Paleo Pro recommends a 9g serving size when consuming the Paleo Greens formula, for the best results.

The formula only contains 4 whole ingredients and 2 flavoring ingredients – this is synonymous with the brand as it’s all about real food and no excess filler ingredients.

The ingredients within the formula are:

  • Ingredients – Organic Hemp Seed protein, alfalfa powder, organic kale powder, spirulina powder, natural flavorings, monk fruit extract.

These ingredients are potent and really can provide health benefits for the consumer such as increased energy levels, better digestion and regulation, and increased overall health from essential vitamins and minerals.

However, the amount of each ingredient isn’t shown by the brand, and therefore the consumer has absolutely no idea how much of each ingredient they’re receiving.

How does Paleo Pro Greens Powder Taste?

The Paleo Greens formula is flavored with ‘natural flavors’ and monk fruit extract.

Unlike other superfood formulas on the market that have chocolate or vanilla flavorings, you still do get a classic super greens taste with this formula. However, it’s not an overwhelmingly ‘grassy’ taste and is actually quite sweet due to the monk fruit extract.

Side Effects

You shouldn’t experience any side effects when consuming this powder. However, as with every supplement or formula, if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, you should consult your doctor before consumption.

Does Paleo Pro Greens Powder Work?

Due to the fact that there are no amounts shown for each ingredient, it’s actually impossible to say whether or not this formula will work.

It seems a real shame that the brand hasn’t just gone to this extra bit of effort to be more transparent and informative because the formula might work, but without knowing, it’s hard to want to use it or to recommend it.

A secondary point that is impossible to ignore, many popular superfood powders are also be used on a Paleo diet. As long as the ingredients are not processed, contain sugars, are dairy-based, or contain legumes, etc.

Paleo Pro Greens Powder Reviews

Taking a look at Amazon, Paleo Pro Greens Powder has an overall rating of 4.4 stars out of 5 stars and there are 67 customer reviews.

Most of the people that follow strict Paleo diets seem really impressed with this product. However, other people have struggled with having upset stomachs from consuming the formula – this could be because they’ve never consumed a super greens formula before and all they need to do is ease into it.

Let’s take a look selection of the reviews:

I'm not a fan of greens powders I've tried in the past but this powder tastes really good. When mixed with unsweetened almond milk it tastes like an iced matcha green tea from Starbucks – without all of the sugar and junk. Great for extra nutrition but don't use this if you are looking for a protein drink. If you want a powder with a sizeable amount of protein, get the other powders from this same company.5-star review

I did the research on this company & was really impressed with the beef protein isolate version. So I felt secure in purchasing the Vegan form as well. I generally cycle between meat & plant-based proteins. The Vegan mix didn't blend too well with the shaker. Also, the monk fruit sweetness is overpowering. It's taking my guts more time than I like to get used to the vegan powder. It gave me the bubble guts the first week. I would encourage the purchase of the non-flavor unless a fan of sweetener tastes. I kinda wish I didn't purchase 2 additional bags in hopeful anticipation. But, I am a fan of this brand & will continue to consume the other products.3-star review

Disliked everything about it. Had one scoop serving of it and I tried, I really did try to like it, but couldn’t. The taste was awful, didn’t mix well. And after forcing myself to finish my serving – it was like lava through my system and had me repeatedly going to the bathroom. Headaches ensued. After my first battle on the toilet, I threw the entire bag out.1-star review

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

Paleo Pro doesn’t have a money-back guarantee, but it does offer refunds.

To get a refund you will need to contact the Paleo Pro team within 30 days of purchase and have 75% of the formula still in the container. The brand offers refunds with credit.

Where to buy Paleo Pro Greens Powder?

Paleo Greens Powder can be bought on the Paleo Pro website, on Amazon and third-party retailers online and at selected Wholefoods stores, Sprouts, and Mother’s Markets in the USA.

Is It Worth The Price?

Unlike other supplement brands, Paleo Pro doesn’t offer a subscription option for this formula or has multiple sizes of pouches.

One pouch of the formula costs $29.99, which works out at a cost per serving of $0.99. This is definitely a super greens formula at a low price point in comparison to the rest of the market.

The brand also only ships within the USA, for a flat fee of $7.99 and recommends international customers to order from Amazon. Even with the $7.99 shipping fee, the formula is still really wallet-friendly.

My Verdict

Everything about this brand seems great and this super greens formula looks really impressive at first glance. In fact, everything about the product is perfect apart from the ingredients list problem.

The formula contains potent ingredients, it’s a low cost, it’s suitable for an array of people with specific diets, the packaging is great, there’s the option of a return and it doesn’t taste overpowering as other super greens can.

However, as mentioned, the actual information about the ingredients within the formula is where the problem lies. Although the ingredients within the formula are powerful and I really appreciate the fact the formula isn’t packed full of filler ingredients, the lack of information about the amount of each ingredient ruins this product for me.

The brand hasn’t let the consumer know how much of each ingredient resides in the formula and therefore no one can actually tell if it will work or not.

The team behind the brand has clearly gone to great efforts to ensure the product is free from fillers, free from proprietary blends, and produced using real foods that it confuses me as to why they haven’t just added the information about the amount of each ingredient on.

Although I love everything else about the product, I’m going to have to say I’m not sure whether I would recommend it due to the lack of information and transparency on the ingredients list. Hopefully, the brand will rectify this in the future.
