Looking at the Proper website, I’m immediately impressed. I not only like the look of the website, but I’m really impressed by the abundance of informative content, and interactive elements such as the bedtime countdown.
The brand’s blog contains really important educational content, and all of the information about the brand itself and the products is useful.
Looking at Sleep and Restore, I’m firstly really impressed by the glass jars that the capsules are packaged in and the sleek, elegant branding that goes with it.
I’m definitely keen to take a closer look and see if it really is as good as it looks.

This is super useful because as a consumer you not only know how much of each ingredient you’re consuming but you can actually work out the efficacy of the formula.
I’ll be taking a look at the efficacy of Sleep and Restore later on in this review.
However, first, let’s take a look at the ingredients list!

How does Proper Sleep and Restore Taste?
Sleep and Restore is a capsule supplement. Therefore, there’s no taste!
However, some customers have complained about the smell of the capsules.
Side Effects
Proper recommends that you seek medical advice before using this supplement if you are on any type of medication, if you have a medical condition, if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under the age of 18.
In addition, the brand also states that you should not consume alcohol, drive or operate machinery after taking this product.
Does Proper Sleep and Restore Work?
Sleep and Restore has a fully disclosed ingredients label, which is like music to my ears!
This means that we can look at the amounts of each ingredient within the formula and see if it hits the standard recommended doses of that specific ingredient.
The most important ingredient within the formula that the brand features is melatonin. The recommended dose of melatonin is from 0.5 mg up to 3mg to help promote sleep, although higher doses can be used.
There’s 3mg of melatonin within the Sleep and Restore formula, therefore it hits the recommended dose!
The recommended dose of valerian root ranges from 300mg – 600mg, and therefore the 300mg of valerian root that exists within the Sleep and Restore formula hits the recommended dose.
The only other ingredient with a standard recommended dose is ashwagandha, and unfortunately, the 125mg of ashwagandha within the formula doesn’t hit the recommended dose of 250mg-500mg.

Overall, the majority of the ingredients within the formula are sufficiently dosed. However, it would have been great to see the ashwagandha meet the recommended amount.

Although the formula might fall short of supplying the recommended dose of ashwagandha, the fact that the formula contains a substantial dose of melatonin and valerian root, and actually has a fully disclosed ingredients label in the first place, leads me to conclude that it is worth the price it’s sold at.
My Final Verdict
I’m definitely impressed by Sleep and Restore and the whole Proper brand as a whole.
I like the fact that there’s a fully disclosed ingredients label on the product, the majority of the ingredients are sufficiently dosed, and the brand supplies clear, informative content about the formula.
In addition, it’s well priced!
However, I would have liked to see the ashwagandha in the formula meet the standard recommended dose, and a money-back guarantee wouldn’t go a miss!
Nonetheless, overall, I think Sleep and Restore may be a good choice if you’re looking for a natural sleeping aid.
