Algae Infused Organic Greens Review: Ingredients, Dosages, Serving Costs

Algae Infused Organic Greens is a superfood supplement produced by the Life Infused brand, containing probiotics, enzymes, and herbal extracts.

The algae-based formula is packed into capsules, with the brand claiming that one capsule a day can provide the consumer with a rich source of vitamins, minerals, omega-3, and essential amino acids that provide health benefits.

Algae Infused Organic Greens is certified organic by Oregon Tilth, vegan, dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free, wheat-free, and non-GMO.

What is Algae Infused Organic Greens?

My first impression of the Life Infused website is a positive one, but the main takeaway I have from the website is that there’s information overload!

Obviously, this isn’t a bad thing (I want to see informative content), but the general look of the website is super busy which is slightly overwhelming.

Looking at the Algae Infused Organic Greens, the branding is eye-catching and clearly on-brand for Life Infused, there’s a lot of information about the product, which is great to see, if not still slightly overwhelming!

Background on Life Infused

Founded in 2017 by Alida Lopez Parada, Life Infused is a natural, plant-based supplement brand based in Arizona, USA.

The brand’s mission is to provide natural supplements that promote longevity, improve quality of life, and empower people to feel healthy.

All of the brand’s supplements are vegan, gluten-free, GMO-free, and contain no dairy or soy-based ingredients.

As well as the Algae Infused Organic Greens, popular supplements by the brand are the Cleanse Infused (Colon Cleanse) capsules and the Digest Infused (Probiotics and Enzymes) capsules.

Algae Infused Organic Greens Benefits

Life Infused claims that the Algae Infused Organic Greens formula will provide the consumer with a rich source of vitamins, minerals, omega-3, and essential amino acids that will “neutralize” oxidative stress, support the immune system, and support the digestive system.

The brand also claims that the capsules will help renew cells, help improve memory and increase focus and concentration.

Algae Infused Organic Greens Ingredients

There are three fully disclosed ingredients within the Algae Infused Organic Greens formula and a handful of probiotic and enzyme ingredients within two blends.

The fully disclosed ingredients make it easy to work out the efficacy of these specific ingredients within the formula.

However, the fact that the probiotics and enzymes exist in a proprietary blend means it’s difficult to work out if they’re sufficiently dosed, especially since they don’t have the CFU amount shown.

Nonetheless, I’ll be taking a look at the efficacy of the formula later on in this review.

First, let’s take a look at the ingredients within the formula.

Here is the complete list of the Algae Infused Organic Greens ingredients:

  • Enzyme Energized Superfood & Probiotic Blend – Organic Blue-Green Algae (300mg), Organic Spirulina (300mg), Organic Chlorella (20mg).
  • Probiotic Blend (B.bifidus and L.acidophilis) – 5mg
  • AstraZyme (proprietary blend of enzymes, extracts of astragalus, and notoginseng) – 75mg
  • Other Ingredients – Organic NU Flow 70R, NP Capsules (pullulan).

How does Algae Infused Organic Greens Taste?

Due to the fact that this formula is packed into capsules, it has no taste.

Side Effects

The brand doesn’t warn about any potential side effects but does have a disclosure statement at the bottom of the site that suggests that anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medication should consult a doctor before starting any new diet, exercise, or supplementation program.

I would just add to this and say if you’re under 18 or have a medical condition you should also consult a doctor before consuming any new supplement.

Does Algae Infused Organic Greens Work?

The majority of the Algae Infused ingredients label (apart from the AstraZyne blend and Probiotic Blend) is fully disclosed which means it’s easy to work out the efficacy of the formula.

So, let’s take a look at the amounts of ingredients within the formula and compare them to the standard recommended doses!

It’s clear that at least a couple of the main ingredients within the formula are underdosed.

The 300mg spirulina within the formula completely misses the standard recommended dose of 1-3g.

Similarly, but to a more extreme extent, the 20mg of chlorella in the formula completely misses the 2-5g chlorella standard recommended dose.

In addition, the probiotics and enzymes within the formula don’t have a CFU dose, so it’s impossible to know if they hit the recommended 1 billion to 10 billion CFU daily recommended dose of probiotics.

Overall, it’s clear that at least a couple of the main ingredients within the formula are underdosed.

For example, to get a sufficient dose of chlorella from these capsules you would have to take 10x the serving size (which is obviously not recommended).

I am a huge fan of this ingredient (at the right dosage), so if you want to give this a try you even go for a dedicated chlorella supplement or my greens supplement, SuperGreen TONIK, that contains 1 gram per serving!

Algae Infused Organic Greens Reviews

Algae Infused is available on Amazon, therefore we can take a look on there to see a selection of unbiased customer reviews.

Overall, the Algae Infused scores 4.8 stars out of 5 stars.

However, there are only 8 customer ratings overall and the reviews don’t fall below 4-stars.

So, bear this in mind when reading the reviews below.

Nonetheless, let’s take a look at them.

Excellent product I'm so happy that I'm already going for the 3rd bottle! Overall all my life infused products are 100% recommended! 5-star reviewer

Where to buy Algae Infused Organic Greens?

You can buy Algae Infused Organics Greens from the Life Infused website or from Amazon.

Is It Worth The Price?

Algae Infused Organic Greens capsules are sold in bottles that contain 60 servings.

One bottle of the capsules costs $44.98, meaning the cost per serving works out at $0.75.

Obviously, this is a cheap cost per serving.

However, seeing as each serving doesn’t contain sufficiently dosed ingredients, bear in mind that to actually get the correct nutrients from the formula you would have to consume multiple servings.

This would therefore obviously work out much more expensive.

Algae Greens Verdict

Although the Life Infused brand seems to have all of the right ideas, especially when it comes to informative content and transparency, I personally wouldn’t recommend the Algae Infused Organic Greens capsules, for a few reasons.

Firstly, and obviously the most important, the fact that a selection of the ingredients within the formula is severely underdosed is unacceptable.

If I’m going to take a supplement, I’m not going to take one that’s underdosed.

Secondly, the fact that the brand has such a small number of customer reviews puts me off, especially for a brand that has been in business for four years.

Thirdly, I’m not a fan of capsule supplements due to the fact that they are rarely as potent and effective as powdered formulas.

Overall, I would recommend looking for a sufficiently dosed superfood powder that’s rich in algae ingredients instead.
