Bloom Nutrition Greens Review: Benefits, Drawbacks, And Comparison

Bloom Nutrition Greens and Superfoods is a superfood formula packed with over 40 ingredients, including greens, fruits, digestive enzymes, probiotics, adaptogenic herbs, and antioxidant-rich ingredients.

The formula is the number one bestselling supplement produced by the Bloom Nutrition brand, and it’s targeted toward those that need a boost of nutrition daily. The formula is available in three different flavors, as well as 30-day serving tubs and 60-day serving tubs, so there’s something to hopefully suit everyone’s individual needs.

The brand claims that the potent ingredients within the formula will reduce bloat, boost immunity, support the digestive system, and increase natural energy levels.

I’m really keen to take a closer look at the formula, especially as Bloom Nutrition is founded by fitness influencer Mari Llewellyn, so a lot of her fans and followers will be flocking to buy this formula. It’s going to be interesting to see just how potent the formula is!

If you’re thinking about buying this formula or you want to take a closer look at it because you love super greens like me, take a look at my full Bloom Nutrition Greens review below.

What is Bloom Nutrition Greens?

The Bloom Nutrition website is fortunately bold and vibrant, but somehow I’m still left feeling underwhelmed by it. It would be nice to see a more finished look and more advanced website design, of course. However, that’s not what’s bothering me.

What really bothers me about Bloom Nutrition, even initially, is the lack of information. There’s not much information anywhere on the website, about either the products or the company, and this puts me off slightly.

Looking at the Bloom Nutrition Greens formula, I feel the same way – the tub of the formula looks appealing but everything else falls flat. There’s a lack of information about the formula’s description, benefits, and ingredients.

Essentially, I’m not overly impressed by the Bloom Nutrition brand or the Greens formula it produces at first glance. So, I’m hoping it’s going to knock my socks off when I take a look at the ingredients list!

Background on Bloom Nutrition

There isn’t a lot of information online about Bloom Nutrition, but it seems as if the brand was started in 2018 and is based in New York. Mari Llewellyn, fitness influencer, and Youtube sensation, is the founder of Bloom Nutrition.

Bloom Nutrition Greens is one of the most popular products sold by the brand, but it produces a wide range of supplements, from multivitamins and pre-workout to collagen and fish oil.

The brand also produces various accessories, including tank tops and blender bottles.

Bloom Nutrition Greens Benefits

Bloom Nutrition Greens is supposed to target three main areas – digestion, immunity, and bloating.

The brand claims that by taking the formula daily, the consumer will benefit from better gut health, reduced bloating, a boosted immune system, and an increase in energy levels.

However, apart from those benefits, the brand doesn’t give any other information about any other benefits or link any specific ingredients to the claimed health benefits.

This seems a shame because as long as the ingredients within the formula are sufficiently dosed, there should be a long list of benefits associated with the formula.

Bloom Nutrition Greens Ingredients

Bloom Nutrition Greens contains over 40 ingredients, all but one of which exists within proprietary blends. Proprietary blends are a nightmare when it comes to brand transparency and customer awareness, because the amount of each ingredient within the formula is unknown, so that’s not ideal!

However, I will be taking a look at the efficacy of the formula further down in this review. First, let’s have a look at what the ingredients list looks like.

Here is the complete list of Bloom Nutrition Greens ingredients:

  • Fiber Blend (1.606g) – Inulin, Organic Flax Seed Powder, Apple Fruit Powder
  • Green Superfood Blend (1.367g) – Organic Barley Grass Powder, Organic Spirulina Powder, Organic Wheatgrass Powder, Organic Alfalfa Leaf Powder, Organic Chlorella Powder
  • Soy Lecithin Powder (1g)
  • Probiotic Blend (648mg) – Inulin, Bifidobacteria Bifidum, Lactobacillus Rhamnosus, Lactobacillus Acidophilus
  • Fruit and Vegetable Blend (572mg) – Organic Carrot Root Powder, Beet Root powder, Collards (Kale) Leaf Powder, Blueberry Fruit Powder, Broccoli Head Powder, Ginger Root Extract
  • Antioxidant Beauty Blend (550mg) – Cranberry Fruit Powder, Strawberry Fruit Powder, Raspberry Fruit Powder, Sour Cherry Fruit Extract, European Elder Fruit Powder, Cabbage Palm (Acai) Fruit Extract, Lycium (Goji) Fruit Powder, Horseradish Tree (Moringa) Leaf Powder, Grape Seed Extract, Matcha Green Tea Leaf Powder
  • Digestive Enzyme Blend (150mg) – Maltodextrin, hemicellulose, Amylase, Protease, Xylanase, Cellulase, Lipase, Pectinase, Glucoamylase
  • Adaptogenic Blend (100mg) – Licorice Root Extract, Rhodiola Root Powder, American Ginseng Root Powder, Ashwagandha Root Powder, Astragalus Root Powder, Eleuthero Root Extract
  • Stevia Leaf Extract (95mg)

How does Bloom Nutrition Greens Taste?

There are three different flavors of Bloom Nutrition Greens – Original, Citrus, and Mixed Berry.

I think it’s great that there’s a selection of flavors because obviously, the Original formula might be too pungent for super greens first-timers, so they may want to choose the Citrus or Mixed Berry.

The flavor reviews are positive overall, but a lot of customers do find the stevia extract in the formula too overwhelming.

Side Effects

Unless you’re allergic to any of the ingredients within the formula, you shouldn’t experience any adverse effects from consuming it, and the brand doesn’t provide any health warnings.

However, as always I like to advise that if you’re pregnant breastfeeding, under 18, on medication, or dealing with an illness, you should always speak to your doctor before deciding to consume any new supplement.

Does Bloom Nutrition Greens Work?

Since the Bloom Nutrition Greens formula contains proprietary blends, it’s unclear how much of each ingredient is within the formula.

This means that as consumers, we have no idea whether the ingredients within the formula are actually sufficiently dosed, and therefore it’s unclear to us whether the formula will actually work or not.

However, by looking at the amounts of the proprietary blends and the recommended daily doses of the ingredients within the blends, we can get an idea of whether the formula contains sufficiently dosed ingredients or not.

…we don’t have information about the amounts of the ingredients, it’s unclear whether the formula will actually work or not.

For example, The Green Superfood Blend within the formula weighs 1.367g, but the recommended daily dose of spirulina and chlorella alone (ingredients in this blend) comes to 3g.

So, not all of the ingredients within this blend may be sufficiently dosed. The same could be said for the rest of the blends in the formula.

Since we don’t have information about the amounts of the ingredients, it’s unclear whether the formula will actually work or not.

Bloom Nutrition Greens Reviews

Bloom Nutrition Greens isn’t available on Amazon, or on other third-party websites, so the only customer reviews available to me are the ones on the Bloom Nutrition website.

Typically I don’t like looking on the website of the brand for reviews, simply because they could be biased towards their product and only post positive reviews.

For example, the lowest-rated review for this product is 4 stars, out of 260 reviews. This is obviously really positive, and honestly, it seems too good to be true that out of this many customers no one would rate the formula under 4 stars.

Nonetheless, these are the only customer reviews available online, so let’s take a look at some of them.

Ya’ll. I have struggled with bloating for years. This is a life-saving product, My stomach has never been happier, bloating is down, I never get sick, and they taste SO GOOD. The berry is my favorite and I cannot wait to try the citrus! I spent a month without them during the presale and NEVER AGAIN. You will not be disappointed!5-star review

I love these green essentials, but I would love them even more without the stevia. It is a bit too sweet. The product also contains wheat, which limits the user base.4-star review

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

Bloom Nutrition has NO money-back guarantee, which I find incredibly surprising!

The brand’s return policy is that if you want a refund for a product, you have to return it within 15 days of receiving it, unopened and undamaged.

Where to buy Bloom Nutrition Greens?

As far as I am aware, you can only buy Bloom Nutrition Greens from the Bloom Nutrition website.

Is It Worth The Price?

Bloom Nutrition Greens is sold in tubs of 60 and 30 servings.

I’m going to take a look at the tubs that contain 30 servings of formula because that’s the typical tub size on the supplement market. One tub of the formula costs $39.99, meaning the cost per serving is $1.33.

Unlike most other supplement brands, Bloom Nutrition doesn’t offer any discount for buying more than one tub, and it doesn’t offer a subscription option.

If the formula had a fully disclosed ingredients list, I would be impressed that the formula was at this price. However, since the formula is made up of proprietary blends, I think a cost per serving of $1.33 is too expensive – you can get greens formulas with fully disclosed labels for a similar price point.

The Bottom Line

I am not a huge fan of Bloom's Nutrition Greens formula.

Without offending or being too unkind to the brand, I wouldn’t purchase this formula simply because there is such a lack of information, both about the brand and the greens formula itself.

Although I’m not a huge fan of anything about the formula, the thing I like the least is that there’s not a fully disclosed ingredients label, and some of the ingredients are definitely underdosed.

There are super greens powders with fully disclosed labels and sufficiently dosed ingredients around the same price point as this formula, so I would clearly choose to purchase one of those rather than this.

  1. I have a terrible experience with this company. They delivered too late, then my order got lost since they did not add the apt number. Then they said they will not refund because we provided the wrong address…….. what a scam!!!!!!!

  2. This is SUPER helpful. I just bought bloom greens online but had NO IDEA it contained soy and wheat! Both things I’m allergic to.
Thanks so much for getting that info out there along with the rest!

  3. Hi,
As a newbie to greens I’d like to ask your opinion of which brand you would recommend then?
Thank you! Very helpful article 🙂
    Kind regards

    1. Hi Jakie,
I was somewhat disillusioned with many of the greens brands on the market and so ended up developing my own that I take every day.
You can see the round-up of my favorite greens supplements where I list the pros and cons of each. Personally, I wish to know EXACTLY what I am taking and in what dosages, which rules out most of the greens brands on the market.
