Forever Super Greens review

Forever Supergreens Review: Ingredients, Dosages, Serving Costs

Forever Supergreens is a superfood formula containing 20 super green and superfruit ingredients! The formula is produced by Forever Living Products, a company that has been in business since 1978, so there’s no doubt that the company is a successful one!

Although the brand produces an incredibly wide range of products, the Forever Supergreens formula is one of its best sellers, so I’m eager to take a closer look and see if the formula actually lives up to its reputation.

Forever Supergreens is a vegan, gluten-free formula that’s supposed to support pH balance, boost immunity, increase energy levels and regulate metabolism. The brand markets the formula towards those that live active lifestyles and need a quick nutrient boost!

If you’re thinking about purchasing this formula, weighing up the formula against others on the market, or you’re just keen to take a closer look at another super greens formula, check out my full Forever Supergreens review below!

What is Forever Supergreens?

As soon as you open up the Forever Living website, it’s immediately apparent that the company has multi-level marketing (also known as a pyramid scheme) business model. I’m not a huge fan of MLM, as I personally think it’s just an unethical and illegitimate way to run a business, so I’m immediately a little put off by the brand.

Nonetheless, the Forever Living site looks professional and the brand certainly sells some impressive-looking products, including the Forever Supergreens formula. At an initial glance, this formula doesn't look overly impressive, but it doesn’t look underwhelming either.

There’s a fairly extensive amount of information about the formula’s benefits, with the brand informing customers about which types of ingredients produce which benefits, which I appreciate.

However, the fact that there isn’t a picture of the back of the product (that will include the ingredients label), concerns me and makes me think the brand isn’t being as transparent as it could be.

I’m definitely looking forward to taking a much closer look at the formula, especially to see if I can actually find an ingredients label.

Other Super Greens that use MLM marketing that I have reviewed:

Background on Forever Living

Founded in 1978 by Carl Jensen and Rex Maughan, Forever Living is an MLM business based in Arizona. The company has always focused on selling beauty and wellness products.

However, since the company purchased Aloe Vera of America in the 1990s, the company has put selling products containing Aloe Vera at the forefront of its strategy – the Forever Supergreens formula even contains aloe vera!

Forever Supergreens is one of the brand’s most popular products, with others being aloe vera jelly, honey, and fish oil capsules.

Forever Supergreens Benefits

Forever Living actually does provide quite an extensive amount of information about the benefits of Forever Supergreens. As mentioned briefly above, I also really appreciate that the brand has decided to match up ingredients within the formula with the health benefits that the formula provides.

The super greens in the formula help to balance pH, support muscle strength, increase endurance, and boost energy levels. Goji berries boost the immune system, barley grass aids with cholesterol, and green tea boosts metabolism. The aloe vera within the formula will support the digestive system, increase nutrient absorption, and also boost energy levels.

Overall, the formula is supposed to fill the nutritional gap in your diet, provide a powerful boost of antioxidants, and support a healthy and active lifestyle.

Forever Supergreens Ingredients

Forever Supergreens contains over 30 ingredients, 20 of which are superfood ingredients. Unfortunately, the formula is made up of proprietary blends – I’ll take a look at this in more detail later and explain why it’s a problem!

First, let’s look at the formula’s ingredient list.

Unlike the majority of super greens formulas that are sold in one singular pouch with 30 servings worth of formula in it, one pouch of Forever Supergreens actually contains individual packets of the formula.

Each individual packet contains 4.4g of formula, which is small when it comes to super greens serving size!

Here is the complete list of Forever Supergreens ingredients:

  • Proprietary Fruit & Veggie Blend (2670mg) – Spinach Powder (Spinacia oleracea) (leaf), Broccoli Powder (Brassica oleracea var. italica) (stem and floret), Barley Grass Powder (Hordeum vulgare) (leaf), Spirulina Powder, Kale Powder (Brassica oleracea var. acephela) (leaf), Apple Powder (Malus pumila) (fruit), Sugar Beet Fiber (Beta vulgaris) (root), Rice Flour, Red Pepper Powder (Capsicum annuum) (pepper), Tomato Powder (Lycopersicon esculentum) (fruit), Strawberry Powder (Fragaria virginiana) (fruit), Cranberry Powder (Vaccinium macrocarpon) (fruit), Acerola Juice Concentrate Powder (Malpighia glabra L.) (fruit), Cabbage Powder (Brassica oleracea capitata) (head), Onion Powder (Allium cepa) (bulb), Mangosteen Powder (Garcinia mangostana L.) (whole fruit), Pumpkin Powder (Cucurbita spp.) (fruit), Beet Powder (Beta vulgaris) (root), Blueberry Powder (Vaccinium angustifolium) (fruit), Acai Juice Concentrate Powder (Euterpe oleraceae) (fruit), Goji Powder (Lycium barbarum L.) (fruit), Carrot Powder (Daucus carota ssp. sativus) (root), Grape Juice Concentrate Powder (Vitis labrusca) (fruit), Pomegranate Juice Concentrate Powder (Punica granatum) (juice)
  • Proprietary Aloe & Antioxidant Blend Grape Powder (277mg) – (Vitis vinifera) (seed), Green Tea Powder (Camellia sinensis) (leaf), Lycium Extract Powder (Lycium barbarum) (fruit), Aloe Vera Juice Powder (Aloe barbadensis) (inner leaf)
  • Other Ingredients – Maltodextrin, Gum Acacia, Natural Flavor, Silicon Dioxide, Citric Acid, Stevia, and Sunflower Lecithin

How does Forever Supergreens Taste?

The Forever Supergreens formula does contain flavoring ingredients, but it doesn’t actually have a specific flavor. The brand simply states that the formula has a berry and cream flavoring.

The taste of this formula is contested, with some saying that they love it, and others saying that it’s overly sweet. So, if you’re a fan of sweet formulas, this might be a good choice for you.

Personally, I’m not a fan of overly flavored or overly sweetened formulas, as I prefer what I’m consuming to actually taste like it’s healthy for me!

Side Effects

Forever Living doesn’t warn of any side effects, and you shouldn’t experience any adverse effects from consuming the Forever Supergreens formula unless you are allergic to something in the formula.

However, I always like to recommend that if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, suffering from a medical condition, or taking any kind of medication, you should consult a doctor before deciding to consume any new supplements.

Does Forever Supergreens Work?

As mentioned above, since the Forever Supergreens formula contains proprietary blends, it’s impossible to see how much of each ingredient actually exists within the formula.

Therefore, the consumer has no idea if the formula will actually contain a sufficient amount of each ingredient, and whether it will actually work or not.

The total serving size in each packet (4.4g) is too small for so many ingredients to actually provide benefits to the consumer.

Saying that, although normally it’s pretty impossible to figure out whether a formula will work or not when it comes to the Forever Supergreens formula, it’s pretty obvious from looking at the weight of each proprietary blend that it won’t provide a sufficient amount of ingredients. Therefore, the formula can’t provide the number of benefits that the brand claims it will.

For example, the Fruit & Veggie Blend only weighs 2.67g, and even the minimum recommended daily dose of spirulina, only one ingredient within the formula, nearly reaches this amount (the recommended dose of spirulina per day is between 1-3g).

The total serving size in each packet (4.4g) is too small for so many ingredients to actually provide benefits to the consumer.

Some of the less important ingredients might be sufficiently dosed, but it’s simply impossible for all ingredients to be sufficiently dosed, so I’m certain this formula won’t actually be as effective as marketed.

Forever Supergreens Reviews

Although Forever Supergreens is available on Amazon, there aren’t any reviews on the formula there. So, I’ve had to take reviews from the Forever Living website, which could be risky because they could only show the reviews they want to.

Most likely, these reviews are biased, because there’s only one 1-star review!

Nonetheless, it’s all we have to work with, so let’s take a look at a selection of the reviews below.

My husband and I both drink this and love it. It is a great way to get many fruits and vegetables into our diet that we would not usually get.5-star review

The taste does not feel right. It does not taste like vegetables but instead tastes like another sugary drink. Plus it has a natural flavor which is not good.1-star review

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

Forever Living provides a 30-day money-back guarantee, not including shipping.

Where to buy Forever Supergreens?

You can buy Forever Supergreens from the Forever Living website, from Amazon, or obviously from a Forever Living seller within the MLM scheme.

Is It Worth The Price?

One pouch of Forever Supergreens contains 30 single packet servings of the formula, and one of these pouches costs $33.00. This works out at a cost per serving of $1.10.

This is an inexpensive cost per serving. However, I would expect the formula to be inexpensive due to the fact that it contains proprietary blends and underdosed!

The Bottom Line

From the outset, I have to say that I wasn’t overly keen on Forever Living as a brand or the Forever Supergreens formula. Typically, I always have something positive to say about products, but I’m finding it a little difficult to find any really positive aspects of this formula.

I don’t like MLM companies and never have, so I think that definitely put me off straight away. However, if the formula was impressive, I would’ve probably changed my tune about the brand.

However, the formula contains proprietary blends and is significantly underdosed, meaning it’ll probably not even supply the consumer with the health benefits that it claims it will.

All in all, I wouldn’t recommend the Forever Supergreens formula. Instead, I’d recommend going for a super greens powder with a fully disclosed ingredients label that’s made by a transparent brand that specializes in creating green supplements!

However, as the formula is so cheap, I would say that if you’re allergic or intolerant to gluten and you’re looking for an organic green pick me up that’s not going to break the bank, this could be a good choice for you – you might just want to double up the serving size!
