Naturo Sciences Greens Superfood

Naturo Sciences Green Food Powder Review

Super Green Food, produced by the health and wellbeing brand, Naturo Sciences, is a superfood formula containing greens, grasses, fruit, herbal extracts, and probiotics.

Naturo Sciences claim that consuming this formula daily will ensure you have the correct amount of vitamins and minerals to live every day at an optimum level of health.

The Super Green Food formula has a wide range of benefits – it’s supposed to reduce the signs of aging, boost energy levels, improve digestion, push toxins from the body, boost mental clarity, and more!

Naturo Sciences has made Super Green Food a viable option for many, as it’s gluten-free, soy-free, nut-free, sugar-free, suitable for vegans and those on keto and paleo diets.

Seeing as this formula is one of the most popular on the super greens market, I’m really keen to take a closer look at the formula and see if it really is as powerful as people claim it is. If you’re also keen to take a closer look, check out my full Naturo Sciences Super Green Food review below.

Naturo Sciences Green Food First Impressions

Although the overall look of the Naturo Sciences looks a little outdated and tired, I have to say that I’m impressed by both the look of the brand’s supplements and the wide range of information available to website visitors.

As soon as you click onto the Naturo Sciences site it’s obvious that the Super Green Food formula is one of the most popular produced by the brand, as it’s marketed everywhere!

Looking at the formula more closely, I have to say that I am drawn to the branding, the fact that the formula is available in a variety of flavors is great (especially for picky eaters), and the amount of information about the formula is impressive.

I look forward to taking a much closer look at the formula, in particular the ingredients of the formula, to see if it really is as good as it looks at first glance.

Background on Naturo Sciences

There’s very little information about when Naturo Sciences was founded and who founded it online, which is a little disappointing and it doesn’t look very transparent – it’s always good to see the faces behind a brand!

Nonetheless, Naturo Sciences is a supplement company committed to making supplements that allow people to cope with the stresses of modern life and have a substantial nutritional intake every day, easily.

Super Green Food is one of the most popular formulas produced by the brand, especially after the formula was changed and the product was rebranded. Other bestsellers of the brand are probiotics, pre-workout formula, and turmeric capsules.

Naturo Sciences Green Food Benefits

Naturo Sciences provides information about the benefits that consumers can expect to receive by consuming Super Green Food every day, and the brand has even linked specific ingredients to the benefits, which is much appreciated.

Overall, the formula is a quick and easy way for people to consume the essential vitamins and minerals needed to stay healthy every day. However, there are other health benefits too!

The turmeric in the formula is supposed to provide anti-aging benefits, the probiotics support gut health, improve digestion, and increase nutrient absorption, and the greens boost energy levels, and provide antioxidants that protect cells from damage and push toxins from the body. The brand also claims that the formula is anti-inflammatory and increases mental clarity.

Naturo Sciences Green Food Ingredients

Naturo Sciences Super Green Food contains 45 ingredients in total, including the flavoring ingredients.

All of these ingredients exist within proprietary blends, meaning it’s not known how much of each ingredient the formula actually contains. This is a real nightmare when trying to look at the efficacy of the formula, which I will be taking a look at in closer detail later in this review.

However, let’s take a look at the ingredients within the formula first.

Here is the complete list of ingredients:

  • Organic Greens Blend (5,460mg) – Alfalfa, Organic Spirulina, Organic Wheatgrass Powder, Organic Barley Grass Powder, Organic Chlorella Powder, Organic Parsley Leaf Powder, Organic Broccoli Powder, Organic Beet Root Powder, Organic Spinach Powder, Organic Kale Powder, Wheat Grass, Flax Seed Powder, Turmeric Root, Spirulina, Green Tea Extract 98% Polyphenols, 50% EGCG, Spinach Powder, Goji Berry, Apple Pectin, Dehydrated Red Beet Powder, Maca Root, Chlorella, Broccoli Extract Powder, Acai Berry Extract, Rose Hips Extract, Acerola Fruit.
  • Digestive Enzyme Blend (50mg) – Protease I, Protease II, Amylases, Lipase, Lactase.
  • Probiotics Blend 5 Billion CFU – Lactobacillus Acidophilus, L. Casei, L. Salivarius, L. Plantarum, L. Rhamnosus, L. Brevis, Bifidobacterium Bifidum,Streptococcus Thermophilus, B. Lactis/Longum, Fructooligosaccharides.
  • Other Ingredients – Natural Flavors, Citric Acid, Tri Calcium Phosphate, Malic Acid, Organic Stevia.

How does Naturo Sciences Green Food Taste?

Super Green Food is available in three different flavors – Berry, Tangerine, and Chocolate. The flavors are created using natural flavoring ingredients, stevia extract, and malic acid.

Although a lot of Super Green Food consumers love the taste, others claim that it’s overly sweetened and still tastes grassy.

Personally, I think it’s a shame that the formula doesn’t produce an unflavored version of the formula, as this would most likely be more appealing to those that aren’t fans of flavorings and stevia.

Side Effects

Naturo Sciences doesn’t warn about Super Green Food causing any side effects. However, the brand does state that those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, or have medical conditions should consult a doctor before consuming the formula.

Does Naturo Sciences Green Food Work?

As I mentioned briefly above, unfortunately, the Super Green Food formula is made up of three proprietary blends. Proprietary blends are a big problem when it comes to working out the efficacy of the formula because they show the amount of a blend that contains many ingredients, instead of the amount of each ingredient within the formula.

Since proprietary blends don’t show the amount of each ingredient, it’s impossible to figure out if each ingredient is sufficiently dosed and therefore if each ingredient will provide the benefits it’s supposed to.

Nonetheless, it’s possible to take a look at the blends in this formula and estimate if the ingredients within the formula are sufficiently dosed or not.

Within each 6.5g serving, there’s 5.46g of the Greens Blend. This blend contains 25 ingredients, so it’s very unlikely that such a small serving of a blend will contain a sufficiently dosed amount of each ingredient.

Although not all of the ingredients have standard recommended doses, the spirulina, chlorella, wheatgrass, and maca in the blend do, and the total recommended amount of only these four ingredients put together totals 9g.

Therefore, it’s very unlikely, if not impossible, that the ingredients within this formula are sufficiently dosed. So, it can’t be confirmed that all of the benefits the brand claims the formula has, will actually occur.

Naturo Sciences Green Food Reviews

Super Green Food is sold on Amazon, and there are over 2,000 reviews of the product on there, proving just how popular the product is. The product scores 4.2 stars out of 5 stars overall, and the taste of the formula is highly debated.

Let’s take a look at some of the customer reviews below.

Great product mixes well with water, milk, smoothies if ya don't mind the green. I feel better gut-wise. My way of getting more greens, fiber, pre, and probiotics makes me feel better knowing I'm helping myself health-wise.5-star reviewer

The sweetness of the powder is overpowering. Mixed more greens etc but still too sweet unfortunately no one wants to drink it.3-star reviewer

Absolutely disgusting! Tried with just water bout gagged. Thought I’d try it with my smoothie NOPE ruined my perfectly good strawberry banana raspberry smoothie! Would not recommend and will never order again!1-star reviewer

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

Naturo Sciences offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, as well as committing to matching the price if you find the product available at a lower price anywhere else.

Where to buy Naturo Sciences Green Food?

You can buy Super Green Food from the Naturo Sciences website, from Amazon, and Walmart.

Is It Worth The Price?

Super Green Food is sold in tubs containing 30 servings of the formula, with one tub costing $22.97. Therefore, the cost per serving works out at $0.77.

This is a cheap cost per serving in comparison to other formulas on the market, but the cheap cost doesn’t stop there!

You can save 10% off your order if you buy two tubs, 15% off your order if you buy three, and 20% off your order if you buy four or more tubs.

Therefore, the cheapest cost per serving the brand offers is $0.61. This is incredibly cheap, so even though the formula contains proprietary blends, it’s worth the price if you’re looking for a low-cost supplement that will potentially boost nutrient intake.

The Bottom Line

My first impressions of both Naturo Sciences and the Super Green Food formula were positive, and I have to say that if the formula didn’t contain proprietary blends, and it didn’t have such a disputed taste, I would recommend the formula.

However, although the taste is a personal preference, something that I can’t look past is the fact that there isn’t a fully disclosed ingredients label, the ingredients exist in proprietary blends and the ingredients are likely insufficiently dosed.

I simply can’t look past this, especially because the formula has such a small recommended serving size, I just don’t know if it’s really going to do anything that beneficial.

However, since the formula is so cheap and contains so many ingredients, I do understand why it’s popular, and I think that it might be beneficial for some people that are just starting to take supplements and don’t want to spend too much money.

Nonetheless, I wouldn’t purchase this formula when there are greens powders out there that contain sufficiently dosed ingredients and have fully disclosed ingredients labels.
