Alaya Greens Review

Alaya Organic Greens Superblend Review

Alaya Organic Greens Superblend is a superfood formula that contains adaptogens, probiotics, and antioxidants. The formula is supposed to alkalize the system, boost energy levels, support the immune system, and more.

The formula has become increasingly popular on the super greens market over the years, since Alaya was founded in 2018, with it being highly regarded across the world, by celebrities and natural living enthusiasts alike!

The formula is dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free, vegan, and USDA certified organic, meaning it’s suitable for a wide range of people to consume.

The Greens Superblend is one of the most popular products of the Alaya Naturals brand, and therefore I am really keen to take a closer look to figure out if this superfood, adaptogen, and antioxidant mix will provide the benefits the brand claims it will.

If you’re thinking of purchasing this formula or you’re also intrigued to take a closer look at it, check out my full Alaya Organic Greens Superblend review below.

What is Alaya Organic Greens Superblend?

The Alaya Naturals website is well-laid out, modern, and aesthetically pleasing, although it definitely does appeal to women more than men (or I would say so anyway!) since the branding is delicate and feminine.

Looking at the Alaya Greens Superblend, it certainly looks impressive, with over 30 superfood ingredients and a variety of benefits associated with it.

It’s slightly concerning to me that there’s not a lot of information about the ingredients within the formula, but hopefully, when I take a closer look, it will impress me further.

Background on Alaya Naturals

Alaya Naturals was founded by Shauna Reiter in 2018, she was born with an autoimmune condition that suppresses her white blood cells.

Although Reiter had suffered for many years with low energy levels, after she had children, she suffered greatly and therefore looked to superfoods to help her. Hence, the beginning of Alaya Naturals!

Alaya Naturals focuses on producing ethically made, environmentally friendly, natural, and powerful formulas, with the most popular being the Multi Collagen Blend and the Green Superblend formula!

Alaya Organic Greens Superblend Benefits

Alaya claims that the Alaya Superblend formula will provide the consumer with essential micronutrients that help support an optimal level of health and wellbeing.

In addition, the brand claims that the formula will help to alkalize the system, boost energy levels, support the immune system, promote a state of detox, help balance stress levels, and improve digestion.

Alaya Organic Greens Superblend Ingredients

The Alaya Organic Greens Superblend formula contains over 30 ingredients, all of which exist within proprietary blends. Proprietary blends make it incredibly difficult to work out the efficacy of formulas since the amount of each ingredient is not shown.

However, I’ll be tackling the topic of efficacy later in this review!

First, let’s take a look at the list of ingredients.

Here is the complete list of the Alaya Organic Greens Superblend ingredients:

  • Greens Blend – 6160mg – Organic Alfalfa Juice Powder, Organic Barley Grass Whole Leaf, Organic Oat Grass Whole Leaf, Organic Wheatgrass Whole Leaf, Organic Spirulina, Organic Chlorella, Organic Parsley, Orga ic Broccoli, Organic Kale, Organic Dandelion Leaf, Organic Sea Kel, Organic Dulse, Organic Cabbage, Organic Broccoli Sprout.

How does Alaya Organic Greens Superblend Taste?

Alaya Superblend is available in Mixed Berry, Chocolate, and Plain. The brand has chosen to use natural flavors and monk fruit extract to achieve the flavor of the formula.

The reviews concerning the taste of the superfood formula are mixed! Some really love the taste of the formula, whilst others hate it and claim that it’s too pungent to drink.

Side Effects

There are no side effects associated with this greens formula and the brand doesn’t suggest who and who should not consume it!

I would strongly suggest that the formula should only be consumed by those who are over 18 and in good health.

Those that are taking medication, those with medical conditions, and those who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult a doctor before consumption.

Does Organic Greens Superblend Work?

All of the ingredients within the Alaya Superblend formula exist within proprietary blends, meaning it’s unclear how much of each ingredient is within the formula.

Therefore, it’s incredibly hard to work out if the ingredients will be sufficiently dosed or if the formula will be effective.

However, we can take a look at the blends (or rather the size of each blend!) and the ingredients within them that have standard recommended doses to make an informed decision of whether the formula will be effective or not.

For example, first, let’s take a look at the Greens Blend.

This blend totals 6160mg, which is a substantial amount. However, the standard recommended doses of just three of the ingredients within the blend, spirulina, chlorella, and wheatgrass, total 6g.

Therefore, although these ingredients may be sufficiently dosed, that doesn’t leave much room for the other ingredients in the blend, meaning that not all of the ingredients will be sufficiently dosed!

Although some ingredients may be sufficiently dosed, it’s clear that not all of them can be.

Looking at the Adaptogen Blend that totals 520mg, it’s clear that not all of the ingredients can be sufficiently dosed, seeing as just one of the ingredients, ashwagandha has a recommended dose of between 500-600mg.

Other ingredients within this blend have standard recommended doses too, such as maca root which has a recommended dose of 1.5–5g, and turmeric which has a recommended dose of between 500–2,000 mg.

Therefore, once again proves that the blend cannot be full of properly dosed ingredients.

Overall, although some ingredients may be sufficiently dosed, it’s clear that not all of them can be. Therefore, the benefits associated with the formula may not actually occur.

Alaya Organic Greens Superblend Reviews

Alaya Superblend is available on Amazon and therefore we can take a look on there to see a selection of unbiased customer reviews!

There are nearly 800 customer reviews on Amazon, with the formula scoring an overall rating of 4.4 stars out of 5 stars.

The most obvious dispute in terms of the product is the taste of it – some really like it and some can’t stand it!

Let’s take a look at a selection of these reviews.

Unique product, I think it has a great mix of ingredients, making it very convenient, and a great supplement esp on days when I don't get enough veggies. Good flavor, pretty easy to drink. Thanks so much. I feel confident it is clean and healthy, too, which is key. 5-star review

I bought this when I bought my collagen supplement. Ya, I can't stand the taste!!! YUCK!!! I have yet to find the right balance to where I cannot taste the awfulness. I would rather eat my greens than use this powder!! I wish I would have requested a refund within the allotted timeframe. Good luck if you buy it! I find their collagen product to be great tho! 3-star review

I wanted to love this. It is so so so nasty. I even tried mixing with sweeteners. There is no way I can force this stuff down. It is just that bad! 1-star review

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

Alaya Naturals does not offer a money-back guarantee and if you want to apply for a refund you have to do so within 30 days of receipt – the product has to be unopened and in its original packaging.

Where to buy Alaya Organic Greens Superblend?

You can buy the formula from the Alaya Naturals website and Amazon.

Is It Worth The Price?

Alaya Superblend is sold in tubs that contain 30 servings. You can either buy the formula on a one-time purchase or on a subscription.

One tub of Alaya Superblend costs $37.99 on a one-time purchase, meaning the cost per serving works out at $1.27.

One tub of Alaya Superblend costs $32.29 on a one-time purchase, meaning the cost per serving works out at $1.08.

Although the formula doesn’t have a fully disclosed ingredients label and not all of the ingredients can be guaranteed to be sufficiently dosed, the formula is affordable, especially if you purchase a subscription.

If you have more of a budget, I would suggest that you look for another formula that has a fully disclosed ingredients list and definitely contains sufficiently dosed ingredients.

However, if you have a smaller budget and you are happy to purchase a formula that will most likely provide some benefits but isn’t guaranteed to, this formula could be a good choice.

My Final Verdict

I have very mixed feelings about the Alaya Organic Greens Superblend formula. I really like the ethos behind the brand and it’s clear that a lot of people do too, since it’s risen in popularity.

However, the fact that the formula contains proprietary blends and most likely does not contain sufficiently dosed ingredients is a real shame since it can’t be proven that the formula will work.

However, since the formula is budget-friendly, USDA certified organic and contains a wide range of ingredients, this may be a good choice of formula if you have a low budget.

Although, if you do have a slightly larger budget, I would suggest that you purchase a different formula, one that has a fully disclosed ingredients label and definitely contains sufficiently dosed ingredients that will certainly provide you with benefits.
