June 2019 Monthly update

June 2019 Monthly Update

It’s that time of the month again when I take a quick look back over the previous month. I look at how money I have invested is doing and how productive I have been with my personal goals.

I have been super tired this month and been somewhat down as to progress with my supplement brand (payment processing is taking forever to get sorted!) has been delayed. I am also putting on weight again.

This means it’s time for some more challenges and the one I will be aiming for is to shift the one-pack fat belly I am growing. So, starting from 1st July I will be monitoring and recording my weight loss progress for the next 3-months with fixed targets in place.

There will be an article on this very soon!

So, lets kick off with how my investments have been doing in June 2019.

Investment Portfolio Update

It’s been a good month for investments with gold prices, cryptocurrencies and shares going up. In terms of gold and bitcoin were seeing a real bull run!

And because of this my net worth is up – I know at last eh?

To date seeing my net worth up 4% from last month.

Cryptocurrencies

Crypto has been going up and up this month, a real bull run!

This has thinking on why I would like to sell my holding. In all likelihood I would look to hold until at least $20k for Bitcoin and then sell 50% of my holding. Then when prices inevitably drop to buy in at a lower price.

Regarding my current holding I am up around 40-50% at the days prices.

SaxoSelect Go Trading Account

I transferred more funds over to my SaxoSelect trading account last month so I could purchase more shares.

With my recent focus on dividend yields I have gone for solid options like DBS Holdings and topped up on some Vanguard VTI shares.

Ascott Residence Trust (Ascott REIT)

The prices for the Ascott REIT have held since they went up 10% shortly after I purchased. As the idea is to hold these for the dividend it’s nice to see the value higher but these were bought primarily for the yearly yield.

Up 10% from my original purchase price.

Art of FX – Steady Growth

June saw profits of 2.1% and so my account is up 19% from when I first invested 12 months ago.

Repeating myself here, slow and steady each month but can’t complain with over 15% return per annum.

Goal Progress for June 2019

Adams one-pack bellyMy personal goal progress again been rather stagnating with the focus very much on my Life Hacker Guy blog and super greens brand.

That said, I shouldn’t be too negative as I have achieved good progress on both of these. Now the blog is seeing 200-300 people visiting each day, which I am very happy to see!

In terms of my supplement this is really close to going live and just waiting for the banks and merchant processing to be set up. In fact, I have written my own review for my brand and will be posting soon.

At the start I mentioned weight loss and from today will be starting my 90-day weight loss challenge. The idea is that each month I will be posting my update, what I have been doing and the outcome.

Since moving to Malaysia I have put on over 6kg (nearly 1 stone!) and whilst I have managed to reduce this a little bit I have gone back up to 70kg – literally the heaviest I have been.

I will be using a few things to monitor my progress and will outline in the first post coming this week exactly what.

Of course, I will be continuing to drink my super greens for nutritional support!

As I discussed briefly in my what is my vision post, I need to look at my longer-term lifetime goals and start taking action towards these.

June 2019 Summary

This month my crazy Japanese friend and I ran a networking event for local and expat professionals. The turnout was great with around 70-80 people spending time at the co-working space in Penang.

Professionals networking

I got out of my comfort zone and did some public speaking, which I really enjoyed and wasn’t nervous at all in the end.

There is definitely a demand for this type of event, and we plan to host regular networking events. At the next event we’ll organise a few short-presentations too along with a few pop-up stands.

I am excited about the coming months and to get stuck in a challenge that’s going to keep my accountable over the next 3 months. Please watch this space!

So, until next time, have an awesome month and see you soon.
