Superfood Lab Supergreens review

Superfood Lab Supergreens pH 7.3 Review

The Superfood Lab Supergreens ph 7.3 formula is a super greens formula that’s specially formulated to balance pH levels of the body, as the name suggests.

Using alkalizing greens, grasses, probiotics, and various extracts, the formula is supposed to help the body push toxins from the system, as well as boost the immune system, improve the digestive system, and more.

This product has become increasingly popular in Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and Korea, so I’m really keen to take a closer look and see what all of the hype really is about.

Superfood Lab Supergreens First Impressions

Looking at the Supergreens pH 7.3 formula for the first time, I’m not overly impressed by the look of the product. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t pick this formula up if I saw it on a shelf next to other formulas as it just looks plain.

I also feel like this formula is marketed towards women a lot more than it is men, which may be off-putting for some potential male customers.

Personally, I think that the Superfood Lab website as a whole looks slightly outdated when it comes to the aesthetic, but I am impressed by the vast amount of information on the site.

There’s information on everything from company information to blog content which shows that the brand is continuously making an effort to engage with customers.

Background on Superfood Lab

Superfood Lab was actually founded in California in 2013, but moved onto the Hong Kong market in 2015, with the brand’s products being stocked in over 1000 stores there.

However, the company didn’t want to stop there. In 2016, the company expanded into the Korean market, in 2018 it moved into Singapore and China, and in 2019, the brand expanded again into Malaysia.

Interestingly, Superfood Lab products are all produced in Australia, but the company’s HQ is in Hong Kong.

Supergreens pH 7.3 Benefits

Superfood Lab claim that the Supergreens pH 7.3 formula provides an array of impressive health benefits for the consumer. Obviously with the first being that the formula will help to regulate the pH of the body to 7.3.

As well as balancing the body’s pH level, the brand claims that the formula will also push toxins from the body, support nutrient absorption, support tissue repair, boost the immune system, improve the digestive system and help regulate bowel movements.

Supergreens pH 7.3 Ingredients

The Supergreens pH 7.3 formula contains 33 ingredients including the Probiotics blend, most of which are certified organic.

As wonderful as that is, it’s not wonderful that the brand doesn’t show the amounts of each ingredient! This makes it impossible for the consumer to figure out how much of each ingredient they’re consuming.

As always, I’ll be looking more closely into whether the formula will actually work or not a little later in this review.

First, let’s take a look at the ingredients list.

  • Probiotics Blend (629 Million CFU) – Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium lactis, Bifidobacterium longum.
  • Ingredients – Coral Calcium, Flaxseed Meal, Spinach, Certified Organic Wheatgrass, Pineapple, Certified Organic Barley Grass, Certified Organic Spirulina, Apple Pectin, Natural Lime Flavor, Natural Lemon flavor, Potassium bicarbonate, Aloe Vera extract, Kale, Broccoli, Parsley, Alfalfa, Peppermint, Certified Organic Chia Seed, Cucumber, Kiwifruit, Green tea, Lime, Certified Organic Fructooligosaccharides (FOS), Artichoke Extract, Certified Organic Chlorella, Asparagus, Certified Organic Inulin, Lemon, Kelp.

How does Supergreens pH 7.3 Taste?

Supergreens pH 7.3 contains natural lemon and lime flavoring that slightly hides the grassy taste of the super green ingredients within the formula.

It's still natural tasting, and therefore it might be too pungent for some people to deal with.

If the flavor is too much for you, Superfood Lab suggests mixing it with yogurt, apple juice or fruit vinegar, and water.

A fan of lemon and lime tasting greens? Other green powders that use lemon flavoring include Perfect Keto Greens, Super Elixir Greens, and Onnit's EGN.

Side Effects

Superfood Lab doesn’t give any warning of adverse side effects. Instead, the brand suggests that the brand is suitable for anyone above age 3.

The brand even claims that the formula should be suitable to take if elderly, pregnant or breastfeeding.

Although the formula ‘should’ be suitable to take if elderly, pregnant, or breastfeeding, I don’t really like the word ‘should’. I would suggest that if you’re any of those things, or if you’re under the age of 18, you consult a doctor before consumption. This would be my advice for any new supplement.

Does Supergreens pH 7.3 Work?

The bottom line is, due to the fact that the brand hasn’t given any information, not even an indication, of the amount of any of the ingredients within the formula, it’s impossible to work out if the formula will provide the claimed benefits or not.

It seems such a shame that a brand that goes to so much effort to share so much information with consumers, has forgotten to provide the one bit of information the consumers actually want and need.

The formula might work and provide the benefits the brand claims it will, but it might contain a tiny amount of each ingredient and just have lots of filler ingredients – we will never know because the brand isn’t transparent enough to share this information with the consumer.

Supergreens pH 7.3 Reviews

Supergreens pH 7.3 isn’t available on Amazon, so unlike in my other reviews, I can’t look there for customer reviews. Instead, I have to look at the Superfood Lab website.

On the brand’s website, there’s an entire page dedicated to showing what ‘real’ customers say about the product, along with photos of the consumers with the product.

To me, these all look like paid or gifted advertisements on Instagram, so it’s definitely debatable how unbiased these ‘reviews’ are – especially seeing as all of them are positive and seem to be shamelessly promoting the brand.

In fact, none of them actually state their experience consuming the formula, but instead just speak about the general health benefits and where others can buy it.

Nonetheless, let’s take a look at what’s said, below (Source).

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

Superfood Lab doesn’t provide a money-back guarantee on its products, and if you do want to return something, you have to inform Superfood Lab three days after delivery.

If you do return a product, shipping charges are non-refundable.

Where to buy Supergreens pH 7.3?

You can buy Supergreens pH 7.3 from the Superfood Lab website, and if you are in Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, and Malaysia, Superfood Lab products are available in an array of supermarkets and pharmacies.

Is It Worth The Price?

One 270g tub of SuperGreens pH 7.3 contains 30 serving and costs $58. This works out at a cost per serving of $1.93.

Unlike other supplement brands, Superfood Lab doesn’t offer a subscription option which adds discount – this would have been nice to see considering the formula is more expensive than other competitors in the market.

If the brand was completely transparent and offered a fully disclosed ingredients label, I would say that the price was justified. However, as there are no amounts of ingredients shown, it’s pricey for a formula that might not actually work.

Superfood Lab ships within Hong Kong for between $5-$10. The brand also ships internationally, and delivery prices range from $10-$25 depending on where you are in the world.

No matter where you are in the world, if you spend over $120, you qualify for free shipping.

My Final Verdict

Unfortunately, I’m really unsure why this product has been such a hit in so many countries. To me, it seems like the brand bombards potential consumers with so much information that’s not actually informative, so they can hide the lack of product information in the background.

Although that might work for some people, it certainly doesn’t for me. If there had to be a choice, I would rather see a lack of company information or no blog content and see a fully disclosed ingredients label on a supplement.

At the end of the day, the formula is what you’re buying, and if you don’t have enough information to figure out whether the supplement will actually work or not, then what’s the point in buying it.

I have to say that I wouldn’t recommend this formula, as I know for a fact there are alkalizing super greens formulas out there with fully disclosed ingredients lists, at the same price point.
