Genius Greens Review: Ingredients, Dosages, Serving Costs

Genius Greens, produced by the well-known supplement brand The Genius Brand, is a super greens powder that contains a powerful nootropic, Lion’s Mane.

The formula is supposed to boost brain function, increase energy levels, decrease inflammation, and push toxins from the body, providing both body and mind benefits.

With The Genius Brand focusing on supplying high-quality, no “BS” type of supplements, the formula is USDA certified organic, non-GMO, dairy-free, vegetarian, and certified vegan.

Since the formula was launched in 2020, the formula has become incredibly popular.

Therefore, I’m super keen on taking a closer look at the formula to see if it is really as good as the press and previous customers make it out to be!

If you’re thinking of purchasing the Genius Greens formula or you’re also interested in taking a closer look at it, check out my full Genius Greens review below.

What is Genius Greens?

Genius Greens seems impressive at an initial glance since it’s interesting to see nootropics combined with greens ingredients. In addition, the positive customer reviews and positive press that the formula has had are promising!

Although the formula is only currently sold on Amazon, there is still a copious amount of information about the formula on there.

In addition, the Genius Brand website is aesthetically pleasing and contains an array of informative content about both the company and the world of nutrition as a whole!

Background on The Genius Brand

The Genius Brand was founded in 2016 by venture capitalist Robert Oliver and is based in Washington, USA.
The brand’s main aim is to be an authentic and trustworthy leader within the supplement industry.

All of the brand’s products are manufactured within an FDA inspected factory in the USA, and most are USDA organic certified!

Although the Genius Greens formula is a popular supplement on Amazon, other best-sellers by the brand are the Genius Test, Genius Joy, and Genius Consciousness supplements.

Genius Greens Benefits

Genius Greens is specifically formulated with a variety of greens ingredients and Lion’s Man to provide support for both the body and the mind.

The brand claims that the formula improves cognitive function, supports brain wellness, increases energy, boosts immunity, decreases inflammation, and pushes toxins from the body.

Genius Greens Ingredients

Genius Greens contains 8 main ingredients as well as 5 flavoring ingredients and 4 micronutrients. Only one out of the eight main ingredients is fully disclosed though, with the other seven ingredients existing in a proprietary blend. This causes an issue in working out the efficacy of the formula!

However, I’m going to take a closer look at the efficacy of the formula later in this review. First, let’s take a look at the formula’s ingredient label!

Here is the complete list of the Genius Greens ingredients:

  • Blueberry and Greens Blend (8.56g) – Organic Spirulina, Organic Blueberry, Organic Kale, Organic Spinach, Organic Broccoli Sprout, Silica, Organic Sunflower Lecithin.
  • Organic Lion’s Mane Mushroom (Hericium erinaceus) [Mycelial Biomass and Fruit Body] – 1g
  • Vitamin C – 14mg
  • Calcium – 24mg
  • Potassium – 144mg
  • Iron – 2mg
  • Other Ingredients – Lemon Juice Powder, Organic Rice Hulls, Organic Citric Acid, Organic Flavors, Organic Stevia Leaf Extract.

Here is the supplement facts label:

How does Genius Greens Taste?

Genius Greens is flavored naturally with lemon juice powder, organic flavors from the ingredients, and stevia leaf extract.

Although stevia typically sweetens formulas, according to reviews, the formula is chalky, pungent, and smells bad – not ideal!

Side Effects

There are no side effect warnings alongside the Genius Greens formula. However, since the formula contains Lion’s Mane, I would warn against anyone who is under 18, pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication, or with a medical condition taking this formula.

Does Genius Greens Work?

Although the amount of Lion’s Mane within the formula is fully disclosed, the greens ingredients within the Genius Greens formula exist within a proprietary blend.

The fact that the entire ingredients label isn’t fully disclosed means it’s difficult to work out the efficacy of the formula.

However, the green's proprietary blend is heavily weighted, totaling 8.56g, meaning the ingredients could potentially be sufficiently dosed!

To figure out whether the proprietary blend contains sufficiently dosed ingredients we can take a look at the different ingredients within the formula and the recommended dose of them.

It’s likely that the ingredients within the formula actually are sufficiently dosed!

However, within the Blueberry and Greens Blend, only one ingredient has a standard recommended dose – spirulina.

Spirulina has a recommended dose of 1-3g, therefore meaning that the spirulina within the 8.56g blend could definitely be sufficiently dosed!

Since the other ingredients within the blend don’t have recommended doses, it’s impossible to say if they will be “sufficiently dosed” or provide adequate benefits to the consumer.

Looking at the Lion’s Mane within the formula, the recommended dose of the ingredient is between 500mg-3000mg. Therefore, with a dose of 1g, it can be confirmed that the amount of Lion’s Mane in the formula is sufficiently dosed!

Nonetheless, we can take a look at the standard recommended doses of some of the ingredients and compare them to the proprietary blend amount to see if the blends will even possibly contain sufficiently dosed ingredients.

So, overall, it’s likely that the ingredients within the formula actually are sufficiently dosed, and the Lion’s Mane definitely is!

Genius Greens Reviews

Genius Greens is available on Amazon, hence I’m going to take a look at the customer reviews of the formula on there!

There are 897 reviews of the Genius Greens formula on Amazon, with an overall rating of 4.7 stars out of 5 stars.

So, let’s take a look at a selection of these reviews.

Genius Greens are really genius, I do smoothie prep and the first thing that seems that I can't get enough of in my smoothies are the green this provides an elegant solution. With the added cognitive benefits of Lion's Mane in this product, you'll be super productive without a mental fog. The only thing I would say is don't smell the raw powder. It tastes great once in a smoothie but promise me don't smell the raw powder it might scare you off from a good thing. 5-star reviewer

I tried this product for the last 20 days and can’t say I noticed any effect from the Lion’s Mane. Mixes fairly easy and I didn’t mind the taste. I do think $50 for not even a months supply is overpriced. 3-star reviewer

Strong kale flavor and it was sludgy. Will not recommend. 3-star reviewer

Money-Back Guarantee / Returns Policy

On the Genius Brand website, there is a 100% 90-day money-back guarantee. However, seeing as Genius Greens is not available on the Genius Brand website, it’s unclear if this money-back guarantee applies if you order from Amazon.

Although, free returns do apply on Amazon.

Where to buy Genius Greens?

At the moment, Genius Greens is not available on The Genius Brand website. Instead, you can buy the formula on Amazon.

Is It Worth The Price?

Genius Greens is only sold on Amazon at the time of writing this article, so I will be using the price information that is available there.

One tub of Genius Greens contains 20 servings and the formula can either be bought as a one-off purchase or on a subscription.

One tub of Genius Greens on a one-time purchase costs $49.99, meaning the cost per serving works out at $2.50.

If you subscribe to Genius Greens, one tub costs $44.99, meaning the cost per serving works out at $2.25.

This powder certainly isn’t the cheapest.

However, although typically I would say that it’s overly priced since there is a proprietary blend within the formula, it’s actually likely that the ingredients within Genius Greens are sufficiently dosed.

Therefore, although it might seem expensive, in my opinion, the formula is well priced.

My Final Verdict

Typically, I wouldn’t support a formula that contains a proprietary blend. However, I am impressed by the Genius Greens formula, especially since it’s highly likely that the ingredients are sufficiently dosed.

The formula also has a number of positive reviews, and the brand’s money-back guarantee, and isn’t overly expensive due to the potent ingredients within the formula.

The only thing that’s not great is the taste of the formula. However, you can easily cover the taste of the formula by mixing the powder into a smoothie, juice, or even milk!

Overall, I would probably recommend this formula! However, a formula with similar benefits that also has a fully disclosed ingredients label would be even better.
